So with all these interviews/translations around everywhere, and considering the rapidness that is SC2 General, I'm pretty sure most people don't get to read most of the interviews/translation threads out there. So this thread will be a library where all interviews/translations are kept.
How You Can Help:
If you find an interview/translation that has yet to be added, please link it here
It can be any interview/translation. MLG/DH/HSC/NASL/etc. etc.
Videos are welcome as well. This thread will not be limited to only written/typed interviews/translations
Don't link any GSL/GSTL interviews because I will get to them all eventually
Have comments? Feedback? Suggestion for format improvement? Don't just keep it to yourself! Post here and help me better this thread. All ideas are welcome and believe me when I say this: what you have to say is important.
Feel the need to see an interview translated? PM me please and I will see if I can translate it whenever I have the time.
I actually like waking up and seeing the new interview threads on the 6 most recently replied threads on the left hand side. I probably won't remember what I have or have not read, looking through a library
When seeker isn't translating or making fanclubs he's organising translations and fanclub you are a star seeker I don't know how we could survive without you

Same here. Seeker will the newest translations have a separate thread as well? Or will all of it go in here?

I am going to create a section titled "SC2 Interviews Calendar." Pretty self explanatory. A calendar with all the days where you can see which interview was added when, so you know exactly which interviews came out recently and are hot topics
On September 16 2012 00:01 BgSBendeR wrote: Just a quick question, will you also be adding a section for the upcoming SC2 Proleague (KeSPA proleague)?
Thanks
This will heavily depend on whether or not I can find the interviews. I mostly use TIG as the source for all my translations. However, if somewhere else like dailyesports does it, then yes, I'll do them
Maybe you were gonna do this already, but you should have like an "Update!" section right at the start of your OP where you make a note of the existence of a new translation

Love it - we sooo need this. I love the interviews and i'm always scrolling through general to see if there is interviews i missed. Thanks Seeker! Always grateful you're part of the TL community =)
Seeker Seeker Seeker... I'm curious. Do you do anything other than TL?
Edit: On topic, always wanted something like this But it's quite hard to upkeep, so I thought maybe it'd be better if it was a separate section haha. But now that you've stepped up to the task, coolness! Thanks!
Just wanted to chime in once again and express my gratitude for the work being put into this thread. Is there any chance TL could show appreciation as well and sticky this? Please?
"'BboongBboong' Choi JongHyuk Leaves Prime to be a Free-Agent"
The famous man with a fun ID "BboongBboong," Choi JongHyuk (24), has left the team Prime. At the Mokdong Gom TV Studio on the 22nd of October at 6:10 PM, the Hot6ix GSL Season 5 A Up&Down Matches, he wore not his team uniform, but just a regular t-shirt. This is because JongHyuk has decided to leave prime to be a free agent. Choi JongHyuk chose to be a free agent because he wanted to continue pursuing a different route of activities in progaming. He states, "For starters, it is absolutely not because there's a problem with the tea," leaving us only with our speculations. He continues to explain, "Because I want to continue progaming, I needed to switch my atmosphere and build up momentum,so I made this choice." Choi JongHyuk will in the meantime practice from home, since leaving Prime. As he prepares for his upcomming leagues, he also plans to find a new team. Of course he will look at Korean teams, but he is also looking at foreign teams and wants to pick the team with the ideals closest to his gaming ideals. Choi JongHyuk says, "I left prime with Park Waeshik the team manager'sconsent for me to leave. I have a lot of thinking and preparing to do so that in a new team I can become a new progamer. But in the meanwhile I want to thank Prime for all the help they've given me, including the team manager and workers who helped out."
Mmm, I tried to translate to the best of my abilities

Well i dont think i was being that offensive, it was merely a joke. But i forgot where i was posting.
See, this is a police state where nerds become mods and go on power trips because of the power bestowed upon them. This is why i havent been posting a lot, and why i wont miss this place. Because god forbid you bump a 2000 page thread to talk about something, without reading all 2000 pages to make sure your point hasnt been discussed yet. And god forbid your sense of humor is different from that of the mods, or you say anything critical about a player. Hello team;liquid. I'm a frequent visitor of the site but relatively new to the forums. I am speak English and Korean fluently and watch GSL matches live regularly. Just wondering how I would go about contributing to this section if any help was needed.
*Random rant about not being able to translate fomos articles* + Show Spoiler +

I'm sure sometimes good articles pop up which don't get translated to English.
Nice thread Seeker! Good to see you updating still.
Hmm. Any idea if there's a TIG interview with the BWC winner coming up? I've got the Chinese interview. Was thinking if we could release them both in the same thread Coz otherwise it might become a little messy and spammy + Show Spoiler +
Thank you Parting for accepting this interview with s.163.com. What do you have to say after winning the tournament?
I am really happy. Actually, before I attended the event, I never thought about winning the tournament, but along the way as I played, I unexpectedly became more and more confident, and I knew that I could win.
Which was the hardest match during the BWC?
(Laughs) Actually I didn’t feel like it was really hard. I occasionally found myself in some bad situations, but I overcame them.
During this entire tournament journey from WCS to BWC, you were 3rd in Korea, 2nd in Asia, and 1st in BWC. This is also your first individual win in a major tournament. How do you think this win will help you in your career and your confidence?
After I go back, it’ll definitely be my friends and family who will come together to congratulate me, but the happiest one would definitely be my mother.
I also joked before the tournament about being 3rd in WCS Korea, 2nd in WCS Asia, and 1st in BWC, but I never expected the joke to actually come true. I am really very happy.
This championship win is really meaningful for my career, especially for the building of my confidence.
With US$100,000 and the title of World Champion under your belt, thinking back, who was the one who brought you onto this path of being a professional? Who are you most grateful to as you travelled along the path?
The person I am most grateful to should be my mum who supports me from home, and worries over me.
As for turning professional, I was unbeatable in my neighbourhood when I was playing Starcraft 1, and my friends persuaded me to take the path of being a professional.
I had the thought that since I was number 1 in my neighbourhood, I should also be able to be number 1 when I turn professional. It is this confidence that allowed me to take the steps to becoming a professional and winning the championship!
Say something to your Chinese fans.
Coming to BWC this time, there were so many people supporting me, and it’s the first time I felt how crazy the Chinese fans were [T/N: Crazy in a good way!]. There’s the WCG coming up in 2 weeks time, and I hope that everyone will be able to come and support me.
Just let me know if they don't have an interview though, and I'll just post the one I have

:/
I'm currently trying to find them as we speak but... I don't think TIG did them. I'm trying to check other Korean SC2 websites but so far, not much luck.
Are you linking this articles so that I can translate them later? If so, I appreciate it but I will not be able to get to it until after my finals are done.
What happened to the GSL Code S interviews? Before it was a fight between who translates who, now I don't see anything. I look in the archive as well and the only interviews that have been done is the Group A and B for Ro32.

Seeker is busy not sure about the others. The interviews are being done on reddit by someone else check em out.
+ 1 to Code S Ro16 interviews (Found Group B somewhere, Group A is what I'm looking for). I can't believe how sad it is to be without it, Seeker, your work is sorely missed :'(

ps: it is likt its expected, seeker does amazing job and other guys come and steal his fame, then when seeker is busy no one else make it because if you trust someone else your lost ... for me its like if seeker has time again after his exams or whatever he does, and if he want ofc, he has the only rights to translate first ... every other is not trustworth
I just noticed, for the GSTL translations, you translated all of NSH's losses but none of their wins. CONSPIRACY? Thanks for doing all the translations though

I was away at Anaheim for their last match, and their other one I got lazy
Does OSL not do interviews are frequently as GSL, or are you just busy with life and such? (Or perhaps secret option C, if it's neither of the 2 I listed)

I've been feeling very broken spirited and I'm at an all time low right now. So I haven't been doing interviews because I just haven't been feeling motivated as of late :/

Haha. While I admit that my passion for translating interviews has rather died down as of late, I still do them on occasion. I hope you got to check out the WCS Korea Season 2 OSL Ro8, Ro4, and Grand Finals interviews.
On September 06 2013 06:34 Zenbrez wrote: So have we lost all our translators now? What happened to storyteller and the likes
Haha. Not necessarily. I am still around and available to translate ^^
The only issue is that I think I may have finally burned out. I love translating and all but I've finally come to the realization that there are just too many interviews out there for one person to do. It also doesn't help that interviews get very little exposure. Most people don't really care enough to keep the threads bumped and interviews often don't generate much discussion unless the person being interviewed has a unique personality. :/ Which is why I have currently limited myself to only translating interviews for playoffs. IDK. Who knows? Maybe in the near future I'll somehow find my burning passion again.
Seeker, you've definitely done enough translating work to last you a lifetime! That said, I really hope WCS KR interviews these days don't go untranslated! I need a hero! (Yes, I was directed here by JBright after making a desperation thread for jjakji's interview :S)
On September 09 2013 17:06 Mintie wrote: Hey, I'm happy to translate the interview that you made a thread for. Not sure if I can do it regularly, but I'll get this one done pretty soon.
First time doing this, so let me know if there are any problems with it. If there's demand for this I can do this once in a while, but I don't think anyone is going to be challenging Seeker's output anytime soon.
Thank you for the great archival thread of interviews/translations and the calendar showing the days of the interviews. I've got a lot of catch up reading and watching to do.
This is something that the casual SC2 watcher/player should be aware of. The interviews show what the culture of not only the E-Sports scene of Starcraft is like but also the professionality of players and coaches involved. What is often seen as "just a game" outside of the gaming industry has finally been getting attention and credit thanks to the hard work of the community and threads such as this compiling the words and experiences of those in the industry.
