How do you feel about securing two victories in one day?
Honestly, I had a feeling that we would be going all the way to the ace game if we lost game one. Of course I feel good but I wasn't satisfied about my performance for the ace game so I am a little disappointed. If only I hadn't lost my focus for the mid-game, then I probably could have celebrated all I wanted but it was a little disappointing.
The team was on a five match losing streak.
I didn't really put a lot of focus on it because it honestly felt like this was a new start for the league. My skills got a lot better ever since the transition to HotS so I wasn't even thinking about the five match losing streak. I think that's why a good result came to be
As you get older, you're actually doing better.
I can confidently say that I have worked the hardest out of all the pro gamers around me. As long as you put in the practice necessary to make it, age doesn't matter. I still have a lot of passion left in me so I can't help but feel like I'll be able to keep on making good results. I have no more worries these days because I am confident in my skills.
There is a notion that Protoss as a race has gotten stronger with the release of HotS.
I honestly don't really know much about racial balances. Isn't it just the better player that wins? Protoss players just need to prepare well. It kind of feels like Terran players and Zerg players lack the foundation of basics. I think the reason as to why Protoss players are doing so well right now is because of skill differences.
Were you scheduled to be the ace?
I didn't do a lot of preparing for the ace game. I knew I was going to be able to win as long as I knew what the map was going to be. I actually focused more on preparing for the game at hand rather than the ace game. I had this feeling that I was going to win the ace game as long as I won the game before that.
There was a time during round three where you got embarrassingly defeated by herO.
I really wanted to face him (laughs). I felt pained after I lost my round two game vs herO and especially pained because the round three game I lost was when I was feeling like I couldn't lose. I feel so good right now cause I won today (laughs). I want to keep on facing him from here on out.
You must be feeling greedy for the individual tournaments.
I really want to make it through an individual tournament (laughs). I've never felt this kind of greed before in my pro gaming career. I feel like I was able to improve this much and upgrade my mentality because of the coaching staff. I am so grateful to the coaching staff for always guiding me.
Anything else you would like to say?
I feel so good cause we snapped our losing streak. I feel confident enough that we're going to go on a winning streak just as much as we were previously on a losing streak. I have a feeling that our team is going to keep on putting up good results because we have such skilled players.
Lastly, I really wish our team would get personally founded but in order for that to happen our team needs to put up results no matter what. I am going to work really hard to ensure that 8th Team can get up there one day.
