You all play / represent 4 "identical" burrows of a city
you all ally at start versus skynet narud who has become invincible
kill him
+ Show Spoiler +
destroy generators and a clone of him will appear, if all generators and clones are gone. out of his control then he will become vulnerable .. his death will make previous alliances change and signal the halali (the end) and an incoming invasion of the Federation colonizing the city (and players lose duh yes
)
and then claim the city with or without allies
)and then claim the city with or without allies
This game was designed to allow different levels of skills while playing many games .. this is (tldr) : quickdota with macro <3
YOU can play this "new" RTS in many different ways for many different goals !
For example + Show Spoiler +
3 subs play with their favorite streamer (streamer possibly possessing much higher level of skill implied)
YOUR HERO :+ Show Spoiler +
your agent appears at the start of the game near narud's base
in the center
right after narud declares martial law
(does not necessarily appear in "your" burrough though)
the hero will reappear upon death there if ever he dies
but he will grow weaker and weaker with every new incarnation
until death
the hero is imba o p fun
(trying out the units and the map just for 5 minutes to understand it
is a must FOR ALL PLAYERS)
# words/pictures possibly inbound to make it all crystal clear
YOUR BOROUGH :+ Show Spoiler +
is a fourth of the map's worth of buildings and units
leading to the center narud base from where danger will come from (some say annihilation)
every borough has a Town Hall,
if all the Town Halls are destroyed then
ALL PLAYERS LOSE COLLECTIVELY
SCENARIO :
Duran is at it again,+ Show Spoiler +
clones (agents) of his went rogue and join "reasonable" militaro forces to stop him becoming a god
Scenario / build order :+ Show Spoiler +
select scvs and set them to mine on minerals
select hero and attack the imminent threats / protect Town Hall
NOTE + Show Spoiler +
that you can play this solo
and then convince other people you will teach them how to have fun quickly and as a team into ffa fun too
note that you can play this filling your lobby with easy/elite ai allies
note that rts is awesome, every different type
and then convince other people you will teach them how to have fun quickly and as a team into ffa fun too

GAMEPLAY :+ Show Spoiler +
frantic at the start / then ez then weird then finished in under 13 minutes
+ Show Spoiler +
that's what she said

all (most) units are automaticaly assigned a control group / don't fight it please and enjoy it like you were exploiting more focus on other areas of gameplay
DISCLAIMER :+ Show Spoiler +
your first enemy could be slight desynch at start but do persist, it should work through lag maybe at first on highest settings with full 4 lobby yes sorry..
.. also "the more units you kill" the smoother the oncoming apocalypse will feel
also
about this thread well it could use visuals and i might do them but mmm not enough time to do every thing so ... no promises but here is the previous version of the thread "alpha"

The concept of Nemrods is simple : crazy micro / multitasking rts
.. done and dusted in under 13 minutes
4 users vs computer map boss
into backstab FFA
Adding a set of clear "quick" win conditions that follow a "simple script" for the players to act out in a "1v1v1v1 versus the computer" map setting
(gameplay easier with each iteration of play ! obviously).
One objective being for a second layer of gameplay to come out of the alliances changing through out said script.
The game STARTS with an "frantic and overloaded" paced set up :
in the city center :
an enemy NPC Agent Narud has made himself invincible, you need to destroy buildings and its clones so as to stop his invincibility and defeat him.
A fourth of the city will go under your command at the start and you must from then on save the town hall situated in it !
Upon its death, Narud's forces will fallb under the control of the player that delivered the killing blow,
players will have a / new opponents :
one versus three player setting or other 2 v 2 in endgame FFA fun
(which is why you must set "Player alliances" on "unlocked" for pure fun ensured)
Along the game you wield an Agent yourself that will respawn (3 times) if killed (weaker into weaker form after each death) that will serve to
1/ unlock features of the map by being placed upon visually accessible (or not) beacons on the map
and
2/ produce units costing energy or melee resources or custom resources
be used as a fighting unit made for exploit micro
and also
3/ be used as a separate yardstick for stats / rewards in end game stats
The melee "STANDARD" mission parameters still apply (no more buildings and the player loses)
The computers will turn on the Narud player when it dies,
players can choose/set their alliances after that event but by default players will all become enemies
(when creating the game set it on "UNLOCKED ALLIANCES" ; players start as opponents then are allied versus computers until Narud's invulnerability has ceased, then enemy into each player's choice)
The computers are slated to ramp up their attacks on all players, an invasion and a civil war are both happening unto the center nexus of the map ;
the invasion can be handled from the gates or as a "survive" in the center gameplay
The city will host buildings with triggers that make lore sense to gain several side quests / percs
Ownership of a BioDome (flying command center type) and placing it in the center of the map will grant victory on the computers, victory from there is insured (or not)
The player's Agent has to farm energy (4 "center hideouts" provide an endless stream of it) (they are also the revive locations of players' Agent units)
Agent's abilities allow for it to be imbalanced and yet the mountain of things to do and the "build ordering" of the processes makes gameplay endless
Other start "new" imba unit types are : the Specialist, the HitGirl; the Pacificator, the DoomBot etc
Specialist : is permanently cloaked, stuns, nukes, shoots high dps gun manually and scans
HitGirl : is permanently cloaked, mind controls (except heroes)
Pacificator : gundam sized thor with nuke and cloaking fields
Other heroes are : ? / gained by placing specific special units in on beacons through out the map
(one has hero mind control)
BioDomes which will be gained individually
(only one at a time)
In order to win one must do macro and micro with a wide palette of rts moves, through top tier heroes/ regular workers, one can choose several gameplays
Gameplay includes unit placement, kitting; unit pick ups, unit mind controlling, healing / farming energy, aiming individual units / blocking them, leading units upon your opponent
Chaos will come from the varied build orders players choose simultaneously at each step of the "map script"
Multitasking through constant decision making and prioritizing will arise as most important part of the game (hopefully)
The "rng" aspect is "de rigueur"
The game is meant to be 15 minutes short to a half hour maximum long (obviously test would clear that more precisely)
The clues to the scrip "must know" notions / events will be set up in the beginning of the game and obviously clear at the repeat second game (the first one being less obvious and yet not especially complex either)
Ok, so now for my pitch :
all 4 players wield the same units
Team gameplay versus the computers
(1 invulnerable unit and 3 computers with npcs/buildings of their own to steal)
1 versus 3 gameplay
Mind control and nukes every minute
Vivid frantic and hopefuly fun gameplay through 15 to 30 minutes
Alliances game and double crosses (player must build and hide structures to survive)
As all my maps, the idea is to have a community game that can be played with the most varied skill level of players (for example a streamer versus his subscribers)
For now the map's win condition are easy to overcome alone with enough practice research and focus,
which makes perfect for an ffa format ("free for all" : 1v1v1v1 with a "leader' versus 1 2 or even 3 opponent players in a chaos of a setting (a civil war)
The game can be viewed through phases and a build order :
Phase 1 : the set up
Movie : Duran must be stopped and each player has a Hitsquad lead by an Agent on point to start on it right away
Phase 2 : the start
Build order :
set scvs unto minerals
set Agent on patrol to fill up with energy
the agent's squad and the base require micro
make gas geyzers and orbital command all your command centers
to get economy going
build extra command centers
clear your bases' opponents
destroy the shield generators
kill the Narud clones each of them spawn upon death
secure base and energy recharge location
hide flying ccs at four corners of the map for later
get control of a Bio Dome by placing Agent on its beacon (placed under said unit) (destroying narud clones will allow bio dome to take off)
protect Bio Dome to bring it in center
use npc to steal opponent hero Agent
Win
This is a wip 0.2 version / more to come :
winner will get a cheat code for next game (grants temporary vision of the narud agent)
winner will get a cheat code to get next cheat code (for second win / etc)
different scores / ends
Glhf
long live all the different forms of rts <3
