This term popped up frequently in the article: 대마왕. The "왕" part definitely means "king" but I was stumped by the "대마" part so I tried using my resources. The internet didn't help either - I could not find a reliable source.

Apparently 대마 can mean "hemp" or "marijuana"... I highly doubt that's the correct translation.

I used Google Translate and 대마왕 simply became "Demon King". (Yes, I know that Google Translate is unreliable... however, it's decent when translating one word at a time. When you put in sentences, it falls apart though.) I figured that "Demon King" is more likely to be accurate than "Marijuana King" (even though his ID used to be Zergbong lol)

If a native speaker could come and clarify the meaning of 대마왕, it would be greatly appreciated! By the way, I have also found interviews of NesTea after his GSL Open Season victory also containing that nickname, which indicates that it has been in use for quite a long time. Unfortunately, the translators totally skipped that term, so I still am not sure what it means. Thus, you can take my translation with a grain of salt, but I do think that "Demon King" NesTea is an awesome nickname.

If I were to guess why NesTea has such a nickname, it probably has to do with his Brood War days.

Another one of NesTea's nicknames is "추리왕" which is basically "Detective"
