Tell us how you feel about winning the championship.
Bisu: I really didn’t have any expectations but my teammates did so well that I felt like we were really solid. Not once during the event did I ever feel like we were about to lose.
Stork: When I saw our team’s composition I felt that we were going to win the whole thing. I figured our victory was inevitable. Every other team was on break during the weekend but we had to practice so I didn’t feel bad or anything.
Jaedong: I wanted to make sure that the event was fun for the audience but I really don’t know if they had fun or not. I am relieved that we won. But I lost my break time because of this event so it was somewhat difficult.
Flash: I am glad that we won the championship and that we were so solid. To be honest, I thought about how great it would be if I could at the very least, be on the same team with one of the TBLS players for SC2. I really hope this kind of opportunity keeps coming.
How was today’s match?
Bisu: When I scouted sOs’ base, I saw that he had prepared a strategic game for me. I felt that I had won the game after I scouted his proxy buildings.
Stork: Woongjin players are phenomenal at SC2. Soulkey is especially good so I had given up already. But if I had lost against Light, I probably would have been traumatized (laughs).
Jaedong: I find ZvT to be really difficult but things went really well from the get go for today’s game so I was able to win. I had met Light previously on ladder on Whirlwind and I beat him then so I was feeling confident.
Flash: Our team normally never get to take a break but today we were given one. I wanted to take today’s match seriously but I also wanted to get it done and over with quickly. I don’t know if Woongjin players also wanted things to end quickly today or what but things went really well and the match ended quickly.
A lot of fans are eagerly anticipating your performance for HotS. During this event, You were actually able to grab victories.
Bisu: If I had a good reputation for SC2 from the get go, I probably would have been able to have a lot of fun during this event but because things were not that way, I took this event way more seriously than any other player. I am disappointed because I feel like I still wasn’t able to show everything that I am capable of for this event. I have an entirely new mindset for HotS right now.
Proleague round four is right in front. What are your expectations?
Bisu: For a long time now, my honor was suffering. I am working really hard right now in order to make sure that I can show a good form. My fans are really worried about me but I am going to meet their expectations.
Stork: Things went really well because I depended on my teammates for this event. I am going to do the same for Proleague and believe in my teammates more. I transitioned to HotS after feeling somewhat confident during WoL. But I still need more time to adapt to HotS. I will make sure I am not burden to my teammates.
Jaedong: Right now, our team is last place in Proleague. But we did put on a last place performance so it is what it is. But I think we’ll be able to put on really good performances starting from round four and not give off the notion that we’re a last place team. We are going to become the kind of team that makes all the other teams a little nervous when facing us. Everyone in EG-TL is putting their game face on right now so my teammates are all going to release their full potentials.
Flash: Initially, KT Rolster was pretty head to head with Woongjin Stars right up until the last couple weeks of round three. Personally, everyone is hitting a “reset” button with the commencement of HotS so I think this is good. I think I’m going to be able to show a kind of confidence from myself that I had never been able to show before.
Anything else you would like to say?
Stork: Normally, an event is where the players are supposed to put on entertaining performances for the audience but there was no reward at the end so rather than produce fun games, we ended up producing a lot of intense games. This event was a week before the season resumed so I think the players were also kind of reluctant to reveal their strategies. If there is something like this again in the future, I’m sure we’ll be able to put on a much more entertaining performance.
Bisu, Jaedong, Flash: There were a lot of games we had to play because of this event so it was rather difficult. It also seemed like most of the KeSPA organization members didn’t really show up.
