You advanced to Code S undefeated. How do you feel?
I am so happy that I get to play from Code S for next HotS season. I have never gotten to Code S through the Up/Downs before so I am so glad that I advanced through as first from my group this time.
Just like you stated, you had never gotten into Code S through the Up/Downs before.
Until today, luck hadn’t followed me and I was lacking in skill. I also think I wasn’t in the best condition during those days.
You took down all your opponents in order.
Personally, I felt like my group was pretty good for me. I was confident in my PvZ and PvT and I think my group was very doable compared to the other groups. I wanted to practice really hard and make it up no matter what.
HotS will commence soon. Have you been preparing well?
I am practicing HotS very diligently but also having a lot of fun while doing so. I hope the game will get a lot of hype. There is a lot of potential behind this game so I have big expectations for it.
What are your future plans?
I will be attending the upcoming IPL and MLG.
A lot of people are saying that Protoss is too strong.
When it comes to comparing Protoss and Terran, I think Terran is a little better (laughs). Protosses are really strong at PvZ right now but I think that’s only because Zergs have yet to fully utilize the new units. Given enough time, I think the games will become very doable.
Anything else you would like to say?
I want to thank Lucy, TerrOr, Mind, and Dream for helping me with practice. Prime still has two players left that will play in the Up/Downs. I really hope they will both get through Up/Downs and get into Code S so that every single Prime player will be able to participate in GSL for next season.

Tell us how you feel about getting into Code S.
It was so difficult. Rather than the games being difficult, it was just really tiring to move around constantly and to have to keep plugging in and out gear.
What kind of results were you expecting after seeing who was going to be in your group?
I knew it wasn’t going to be easy since there were so many tough opponents. But I was confident that I was going to make it through since all I had to do was prepare really well because there was a lot of time left.
Any particular game that stood for you?
The longest game against Killer remains in my memory. At the beginning of the game, the scenario was not the kind of scenario that I wanted. I got nervous when I saw my spine crawlers fall because of his early attack. And then when he started attacking my brood lords I once again got nervous. I think I was able to win because I was able to grab an advantage before he got out a mothership.
Which game was the most difficult for you today?
The game against Center was the most disappointing. I was in an advantageous situation but I still lost. In the end, had I just been able to pull of my victories then the road wouldn’t have been so difficult but I missed my chance so it was disappointing.

There is no other way besides preparing really hard. I don’t think there will be any easy opponent either. Everyone is in the same situation so instead of feeling anxious, I think the only reasonable thing to do is to just prepare well so I can make good results.
You were the first KeSPA player to get through the Up/Downs.
I can’t help but feel like that happened because it was the first time we faced a format like this. I stated this previously but moving all that gaming gear around is really tiring.
You stated that you would make it to Code S no matter what and you came through.
When I first talked about my goals, I stated that I wanted to win the championship. I think I’ve taken one step closer to reaching that goal. I thought that I was lacking in skill all this time but I think I was able to progress forward really well through today’s victory so it is reassuring.
This season’s goals?
It will be the first HotS season so I’m not really sure what’s going to happen. So grabbing the championship will be my goal. I also played HotS when it was in the beta stage so I am confident.
Any specific player you would like to face in Code S?
I want to face current GSL finalist, RorO. Since we didn’t get to really meet during WoL, I would like to face him for Code S. I want to face him in the finals and I want to be the victor. Of course all this is just hypothetical (laughs).
Anything else you would like to say?
I worried a lot of people around me because I kept on losing. I will take this opportunity I have to show them a great form. Lastly, I want to thank coach Ju and coach Choi for all their hard work tonight.
