You grabbed your team the victory with an all kill. Tell us how you feel.
Sound: I am so so glad. I think today is the happiest day of my life.KKB: For the first season of GSTL last year, we also achieved an all kill thanks to Bomber. We were feeling really good about our match today so it really did feel like Sound was going to all kill. The entire team was joking around by saying “let’s just not leave the bench today and just send out Sound.” I am so glad that this statement came to be true.
Did you think so as well?
Sound: That’s right. I knew I had a chance of pulling off an all kill as long as I was able to take game one.The two players from Western Wolves, Sting and SortOf are non GSL players but will participate in this season’s GSTL. Was it hard to prepare for NSH whilst knowing this?
KKB: Regarding Sting, he was a familiar back from his NSH days. And we didn’t really pay attention to the foreigner player. That’s not me saying that we’re looking down on him. It’s just that in this current situation, I saw that it would be difficult for NSH to send him out. But we were fully prepared for Sting.
What was the hardest point of today’s match?
Sound: Until today, I hadn't played against a swarm host strategy on the new maps so I struggled a little bit because I had yet to find out how to properly react against them. Aside from that, there really wasn't anything else that was too difficult.What was the reason behind your comeback for game two?
Sound: It was because of the rich minerals expansion that I took. I figured that as long as I kept on harassing his expansions with medivac drops, then eventually I could take him on even though a head to head battle.You were never able to make a big splash during SC2's three years but today you showed a phenomenal performance.
Sound: I mentally prepared myself 100% for the HotS transition from WoL and I was able to put up a great result in the end.Personally, how do you feel about the new map, DMZ?
The starting locations are close to each other so I think it's a good map for Terrans. However, overall, it's a good map for all three races.
Your are currently ranked #1. What are your goals for this season?
KKB: I really want StarTale to score first place at the end of the pennant race. But still, rather than try to win all our games, we are just focusing on doing our best for every match. We are trying to use this season to bring out the power within the entire team rather than just focus on our aces to pull through for us.
Individual tournaments will also start soon.
Sound: Getting through the qualifiers and heading into Code S is my goal for this season. I want to win the championship next season so in order to do that, I need to get into Code S this season.Anything else you would like to say?
KKB: There seems to be this notion that StarTale has greatly weakened because we lost both PartinG and Squirtle. But I just want to say that PartinG and Squirtle did not make up the team. The team made up the team. We kept on making sure that all our players were on track so it's not like we were crippled the minute one or two players left. I really hope that the StarTale players keep on believing in the fact that we are still a strong team. Lastly, I hope a lot of people will tune in to StarTaleTV.
Sound: I want to thank my parents for always cheering for me. I want to thank the head coach and the coach for believing in me all the way to the end and my teachers, Jung Jae Hwee and Cho Kyung Ho for helping me out so much when I was attending school. I will treat my friends to a meal once they get out of the army so I hope we will be able to meet no matter what.
