Ez still gonna be really strong. I probably will keep maxing W unless the width changes to it are super noticeable. Alistar nerf to W is huge imo. 600 range to pull off his combo is gonna hurt in bot lane and jungle a lot. Abyssal only has 600 range now? Gonna be trash on Ahri, Gragas, TF, and tons of other mids who used to build it.

Also this is the second time they've patched and claimed that Teemo's poison now works properly at higher attack speeds lol.

Not going to make the same mistake twice!!

Really like all the nerfs on the top 3 popular Ranged carries, as well as FOTM Gragas, and Diana.

Nice! Maybe I won't have to ban/firstpick Nunu anymore. Though I will still probably first pick him. :3 Alistar changes are interesting, can't wait to play him to see how good he still is.
About the 3 AD carries, I still think Vayne and Tristana are both as good as them.

The Abyssal change is entirely understandable. Riot had a certain role for it in mind and this makes sure it fills a niche rather than being the go-to first item to build on most casters. Still surprising to see them look into AP item diversity while completely ignoring AD items. As ADC the only choice of item build is whether you build TF or PD depending on your champion and I suppose choosing between GA and QSS as your defensive item. Not sure what they could do to fix this but it would be nice to have some options as ADC other than just what order you build your Zerker's/IE/BT/LW/PD/GA in. Every other role I feel like I have some flexibility in what to build based on the situation unlike when I play ADC.

Maybe they broke it when they tweaked the Instant/DoT damage & ap ratios?

Most of the nerfs are good.

Jarman change is good, but still need to fix hook grab fizzling when cast too fast.

Without Abyssal being viable on certain casters it limits item diversity for AP mids. Twisted Fates would already build either Dcap -> Lichbane or some combination of Abyssal -> Lich or Abyssal -> DFG. Gragas alternatively would sometimes be seen going Abyssal first or RoA first or Dcap first.

Nerfing Abyssal is fine, maybe reduce some of the AP or MR you get from it. The range nerf just makes it so that Twisted Fate is just gonna rush Dcap again like he used to every game. Ahri's might go back to Rylai's or maybe Dcap rush or something I dunno.

Abyssal rush had downsides. If it was viewed by Riot as too good they should've just nerfed it a bit instead of making it completely unusable by the champions who were starting to build it.

It's not like Abyssal was so good that every champion in mid was getting it first item always. It came down to the particular champion, what the team as a whole wanted to do, and even individual AP mids (for example Froggen and scarra really liked Abyssal rush but Reginald or jiji tended to go other routes and get Abyssal later if at all).

MBR on AD? Virtually never. It just scales too poorly with the holy trinity of AD carry items. Once you have an IE and PD, items that play off the crit/AS/AD/ArPen scaling will be much stronger than MBR. Unless you have some REALLY weird shit going on, like people with 300 armor, 3k+ HP and less than 100 MR, MBR will never be good for an AD carry.

VS AP stacking teams, a QSS, GA, or very rarely Banshee is going to get you more mileage than a hexdrinker/maw. You're picking it up after you already do a metric fuckton of damage and you either need to not be CC'd ever (QSS) or just survive through the enemy team diving you super duper crazy hard (GA)

For bruisers it can be passable, but it's very expensive with pretty mediocre component items, and it competes with triforce as your "I only have room for 1 big offense item" and triforce has great component items.


On that note, I want more items in this game like Haunting Guise, Aegis (cheap, dead-end items), and Hexdrinker / Brutalizer (not dead-end items, but items that are great midgame less-than-stellar late game upgrades.)

The former (Haunting guise, Aegis) are pretty cheap but quite cost-effective. They give a cool midgame powerspike but their utility drops off a bit later in the game as slots get devoted to huge items.

Hexdrinker is also a super good early/midgame item. The maw upgrade is not an efficient upgrade, it's mostly there so you can say "to hell with gold efficiency, i only need slot efficiency now."

The same goes for Brutalizer. The upgrade to Ghostblade is pretty lackluster, but it's alright, and nobody says you have to rush it.

I think there should be more items with this kind of powercurve - powerful early/mid, doesnt scale super-well late.

the ez w range nerf is pretty big but hes still the same more or less. Gragas body slam nerf too big imo. Rest is whatever, skarner shouldve been nerfed. Graves nerfs not needed.
