Weekly Cup Competitions Week of March 2 - March 8While the weekly cups can often feel like a repetitive donation of prize money to the same three players, the first week of March showed that there's still plenty of room for upsets in StarCraft II. WardiTV Mondays saw Clem, herO, and MaxPax all eliminated before the RO4, while ByuN ran a PvT gauntlet to come out victorious in Monday Night Weeklies. Additionally, Percival continued his recent surge by picking up upsets against MaxPax, Cure, and Clem.

March 2: WardiTV Mondays #76

The weekly cups began with an extremely unusual WardiTV Mondays, as Clem, herO, MaxPax were all eliminated before the semifinals. Some of these eliminations weren't quite upsets, such as Classic's 2-0 over Clem—a match-up where the veteran Korean Protoss has enjoyed much success since 2025. Nor was Trigger's 2-1 over herO the biggest surprise, given how volatile the current PvP meta is at the moment. However, Percival's 2-0 over MaxPax was definitely a major shock, even considering Percival's rapid improvement over the last few months.
In the end, Classic conquered the remainder of the bracket to take first place on the week, taking down both Trigger and Percival before 3-0'ing Cure in the finals. To Cure's credit, the 3-0 scoreline didn't do justice to the fight he put up, especially in a game one basetrade that was decided by a razor thin margin (VOD).

March 2: Monday Night Weeklies #42

The surprises continued in Monday Night Weeklies, with ByuN overcoming his TvP struggles for a day to take first place. ByuN managed to take down the formidable trio of Clem, MaxPax, and herO, with only Classic left out on his kill-list of top PvT players. It was all the more impressive that ByuN achieved this by playing mostly straight-up games, reminding us that he's still a top-tier player when everything is clicking (VOD).

ByuN came close to repeating his impressive TvP feat on Tuesday night, 3-0'ing Clem but narrowly falling 2-3 to MaxPax in the grand finals VOD). Additionally, Percival continued his own string of TvP upsets, taking down herO 2-1 with aggressive tactics before being bounced by MaxPax in the semifinals.

The weekslong WardiTV Winter Championship wrapped up with herO coming out on top, with the smiling assassin demonstrating his mastery of PvP by defeating MaxPax in consecutive series during the winners' final and grand final.
While the winners' final was a cheesy affair typical of current PvP, the grand finals bucked the trend with several games seeing both players establish themselves on three bases. However, the famously aggressive herO was equally deadly in macro games, and took the finals by a convincing 4-1 scoreline (+1 game winners bracket advantage) (VOD).
