This game will definitely have three playable classes, one for each race. I just can't imagine them not leaning on one of the most defining characteristics of StarCraft, namely the asymmetrical design of the three races

Obviously had to pay James Harper to read the lines, but the rest I reckon veo3 could render in an afternoon.
Without gameplay or a concept beyond "open world shooter", this is literally a day of work for someone in the marketing department. So I am about as hyped as they put effort into this.

Because that somehow increases the chances of a new Starcraft RTS? If this flops, Blizzard will put away the shovel and use the Drakken Laser Drill instead to even deepen the hole Starcraft is living in right now.

This is 2030 friend. RTS isnt being developed off this or it's 2035 regardless. Who cares? There's perhaps up to 2 other starcraft games in development. Have to hope our mobile friend Nexon is on an rts. This trailer for 2030 is hilariously stupid, out of touch, and getting laughed at across all of the internet, as it should be.

I'm still surprised D4 even launched. I played the free to play stress test or whatever it was the weeks before it came out and thought it was laughable that this was even being considered shippable content. If it was free to play it would still be questionable but to have an 80$+ price tag with it is insanity. Then they one up it by having the gall to announce an 'expansion' that was more of the same.
Not surprised they decided to flush it for the next title but nobody except for the most mindless drones will ever give blizzard the benefit of the doubt after that.

Selection increase is only for that single player campaign afaik. I was worried when I saw the update and launched it to check.
But regardless wouldn't change anything competitively. Almost all of the time issuing a full control groups worth of units is detrimental/bad.
It's like all army hotkey in sc2, the only person that makes it work is hero and even then the tradeoff is letting lings into his base in pvz.
