Thank you, I will make a marine from now on.
A PvZ question about when to take a fourth.
I usually take my third base when I deny the zergs third, killed a bunch of his army, or if I cannot attack due to zerg sim city defense. If I think I can kill the zerg, I don't bother with third and go all out attack. I found that this habit of getting tunnel vision is not good because after playing toss, I now see that toss can mine out really quickly.
This has made getting a fourth even harder since I run out of reasons to get a fourth until I am nearly mined out. It's because PvZ late game is very hectic for me with zerg expanding like crazy and lurker fields everywhere and cracklings running amok. It's hard to see an open window where I take my fourth. Could you please tell me under what conditions and reasons you find taking a fourth is appropriate in PvZ?
One of the reasons I don't like taking a fourth is due to the fact that I have to leave units behind each expo and cannon like crazy. It seems like I need a ht at every base or I risk dying to cracklings. But it seems like this is a requirement in defending bases as Protoss. Do you also recommend building robo at the fourth?

Robo at 4th is a genius idea if you've got support bay in your main, pump out a few reavers and cannon-horde and zerg is going to have a really tough time attacking that 4th base even once defilers are out.

Against 4 base turtle Zerg, I try to take a 4th ASAP to push for the eventual map split. I take map control and practically double expand.
Against the 3 base Hydra-heavy variants, I usually have to make more units before getting map control so I go for a high gateway count (6+) and use that to take map control and then again I take my 3rd and 4th in rapid succession. I'm not that great of a player and PvZ is my worst match-up so this might work only at my level, but it seems like map control is the key ingredient regardless (including the pro level).
I make a Robo at 3rd AND 4th. Usually you only need 1-2 DT/Zealot at the ramped bases on FS and 1-2 HT to hold with cannon until Reaver. On the lowground nats, you can make Gateways in front of your Cannons to filter lings into chokes for Storms/Scarabs, and to keep tanky Ultras or large Lurkers out.

How do you guys find your replays nowadays? It's all saved automatically with a timestamp as the file name and no bwchart. Really miss the iccup autosave.

Flash perfecting the 1-1-1 is the biggest thing that has occurred in the TvZ matchup. Not sure about the other matchups. 1 Gateway expand is used quite a bit in PvZ, but that's been around longer than 4 months.
I heard artosis say that people go heavy on scourges in ZvZ, so flying carapace isn't taken as much.
And of course we have the new island map (sparkle) and the double ramp map transistor that changes a lot of the strategy used.

zvz scourge spam is probably closer to a 1 year trend, not four months.

It's a call-out, like, "I bet you can't perfectly micro down x amount of scourge?" Or "Your micro won't be as good as it was in the KeSPA era?" Or is it the fact that people have somehow gotten better with scourge control/flanking?
Seems lazy unless I'm misunderstanding something. I remember back in the day people destroying heavy scourge compositions.

Biggest change in Broodwar in the last 4-6 months has been the patches of 1.18 and beyond. Its affecting how people see the 1.16 game.

Is there like a clear plastic case for my keyboard where I can put my hands through, and type, like a box over my keys so nothing can get on them, like a cat? If no, does anyone know how I could make something like this? I have an ergonomic keyboard, so it'd have to be curved like a banana.
I need because the main reason I lose games is when cat jumps on keyboard, gg no re. Just in the middle of games. If I had the clear box, the cat would jump onto the box, and my keyboard hand could still be spazzing out on the keyboard without interference.

Are there any Korean Zerg Pros that are better at ZvT than ZvP? And how could that even be possible since most players are better at ZvP than ZvT?
How are players like Movie better at PvZ than PvT? Does that just mean they have good micro and bad macro?
And what skills are demanding for TvP compared to TvZ? Are there Korean Pros better at TvP and some better at TvZ?

You can take a look at TLPD stats to get a good idea of who's best in each matchup.
It's not just about macro/micro. Sure a great vulture micro seemed to be what made Fantasy looks so strong in TvP, but it's much more than that actually. Each match up has its subtleties, rely on different game sense. Or a player could be really good with timing attacks but timing attacks are not equally efficient in all match ups.

Interesting. So if you are good with timing attacks then it would only help against Zerg right?

No. Timings are in every matchup, he just means that: Mastering precise timings in tvp doesnt mean you necessarily understand the subtleties of tvz timing at the same level. Luxury/yarnc are examples of zergs that were better in zvt than zvp. Jaedong in his early career.

If there was ever a reason to get Scout sight upgrade, what would it be?
|
There's not even a reason to make scouts in the first place.

^ I think only if you play on a big map or big island map or something like that
