Happy New Year TL!
PS Eshlow, your first "shopping list 1" 404s for me. It might just be me but I think it's broken.

3x5 sets as of 01/01/2011: bench 77,5kg squat 102.5kg press 50.0kg deadlift 115kg + 5x3 power clean around 55kg, need to focus on the form more, though.

For those of us who use the computer a lot, the blue screen glow interrupts our circadian rhythm a lot leading to insomnia, anxiety, and other sleep related disorders.
There are certain programs that can tint the screen to mimic the sun going down and lead to better sleep. F.lux is one of them.... if you're on the computer a lot and not outside using something like this would be recommended.
I've been using flux for few months now. Pretty annoying to keep disabling it while watching movies and series, but other than that I think it makes watching the monitor more comfortable.
Phyre112 (Jake) Age: 20 || Height: 6'4" || Weight: 165 lb Starting Date: 1/1/11 || Goal Date: 3/1/11 Training goals -- Gain weight, through increased muscle mass (strength training) and healthy eating. I've had Three Weeks off between finals, and a closed gym for the holidays, so I'm itching to begin. No more skipping workouts, no more skipping meals. Bench Press 1x BW Squat 1.5x BW Deadlift 1.75x BW
Nutrition goals -- No more skipping meals. Increased calories to support the weight gain, increased Protein and healthy foods to support it in a healthy way. Stop ordering take out, regardless of how lazy I'm feeling. Cooking is not that bad.
Misc goals -- Keep up with class as much as I keep up with my lifting.
flux is an interesting idea i just tried it though and it's unsuable.. every time i have it running, the loading thing (hourglass near cursor) appears for a moment once every 2 seconds or so. i tried looking for alternatives, and found redshift, although that is primarily a *nix alternative and has a "highly-experimental" windows build.
if nobody has any idea on how to fix the flux issue, i'll give this redshift a try (i tried googling but to no luck.. f.lux isn't a particularly googleable word)

Sick shoes dim. just got my do wins though and i love them
Finally sobered up enough to set my goals. snappin necks and cashin checks baby. I still feel like i can make a lot of improvements in my form for my lifts so i had no idea what a realistic goal would be so went with 125 snatch and 150 cj.
This time last year i looked like considerably more of a slob than i do now. Kinda ridiculous how much i changed. yay for tl health & fitness Big thanks last year to eshlow for fixing my body whenever it broke, dimsum for convincing me to start being awesome and olympic lift when i saw how awesome he was, and funkie/rosa/shallow/energies/travis/everyone else for helping me stay motivated
Time to put in a big order of CELL TECH for the new year!
Starting Date: 03/01/2011 || Goal Date: when it happens.
Weight goals: 75kg and low low body fat :D
Training goals: Keep on growin and feeling healthier like I do everyday. Improve all my lifts, and incorporate some new ones that will fucking make me go insane!. :D Clean, snatches and weird shit here I go! :D. Stronger too, and faster, is <3
Nutrition goals: dunno man, my eating sucks and stuff. But I-ll try to improve, and incorporate more milk into my diet to be able to grow the needing bit and then start to cut and keep my weight. :D
Misc goals: Keep out of the shit life, but, seriously it's so freaking hard. Try to sleep well, and not go into shitty schedules, try to have a nice and organized routine, and leave the unexpected things of life, to spice up my day, and give me fun and great times.
Vanity goals: Be heathly and strong. Looks can come, but I'd rather have 2x of the first things, and 1x of the good looks. (A six pack is something I wouldn't mind, and maybe a bigger chest :D)
Cheers to everyone joining this year!
Oh yeah, a big big big shoutout for all the guys of last years thread: Eshlow, Decaf, Rosa, Dimsum, shallow, sJarl, travis, energies, cambium, and seriously everyone else who posted and motivated me this past year. :D
I did my leg workout today. Got 300 on deadlift for the first time yay! Then I went to do some cleans. Went up to 140lbs, only my second time doing them.
It felt smooth when I did it but i'm sure it is far from perfect. What do you guys think?
Just came home from an hour long walk out in the woods. Very soothing just to wander around listening to Sherlock Holmes.
On a side note: manage to rip up two pair of jeans today. Damn legs responding to well to squats and leg presses...
@Jupiter: Do you have a vid on that deadlift? Would be interesting to see. On the power clean, I'm no expert but it really looked as if you were pulling the bar too much and not using your hips to explode upwards.

I don't have a video of the deadlift. I should have recorded it. I'll record it next time I work my legs. Probably wont be for like 2 weeks because I am getting all 4 of my wisdom teeth taken out on Wednesday. I'llwork on the hip explosion, The gym I go to only has the steel plates, so i'm scared to trying anything heavier for cleans because i don't want to drop it and break their weights and have to pay for them.
First workout of the year in an hour! Back and then spin class. I'm still going to come home today, eat half a cow on the bbq and drink tons of cider. But that will stop as well by Tuesday, I promise.
