Dota has about half the crit%, higher AS scaling from what I've noticed on a number of the carries, and pretty much only arshred. Yeah. pretty much. the maximum attack speed in the entire game is 6 attacks per second, on 1 hero(alchemist) during his ultimate only, and if you have 500IAS(%) attack speed from stats/items, which is not going to happen with any good amount of damage or tankiness on your hero. Anti mage who is a fast attacking late game carry has about 4.1 attacks per second cap at the 500IAS(%)attack speed which again is not exactly feasible or good. and the typical hero caps at 3.5 attacks per second, again at that 500IAS(%) limit. you usually won't see a hero in dota go above the 2.5 limit in LoL, except alchemist.
Most LoL carries won't get to 2.5 either, just saying

While DPS is about (damage/time) x (time), there's more factors than purely that to take into account. You also have to take into account the amount of damage reduction you get by simply killing or disabling champs with pure damage. That's why Wukong is one of the strongest junglers right now, you can just w e auto q r and take out half a team. You will die, but you will win the fight. Being tankier while sacrificing damage would probably do nothing but hurt this. It's the same with AD carries. Min/maxing is a thing for a reason. Damage is 99% of the time your first priority on AD carries.

I think a drophack exists for LoL or somehing like it, I've had a few times where the game dropped due to no champion selected when there clearly was a champion selected. And it happened mostly when people got extremely high priority picks (Kassa, Leblanc, etc).
Anyone else experienced this?

how's new xerath compared to old xerath? i've heard a lot of people saying that new xerath is just straight up worse than the old one.

I've had it happen in Arams, where you don't even select a champion. But extremely randomly. Just seems like a bug to me, but I guess it could be a program.

It's a bug where the message explaining why the game was dropped is always this one. It bugged me too but since I now that I take it as people dodging and us receiving that message regardless.

Ah. That would clarify things. Still a very confusing bug.

you can ult the enemy nexus from just outside of their base in the jungle. farm all three waves every other wave. then immediately get ganked and killed.

The slow on Q makes it a semi useless skill, you use it the enemy trades with you for free. You feel much weaker if you fall behind without a bunch of free arpen as well.
Well, on the other hand if you get ahead you're still extremely good.

It doesn't really matter that much since you can instant cast it if they are close. His problem is still that he is a mage with no escape. He does do more damage now overall though and is more consistent.

These are things which league has gotten past as they have refined the team aspect of their game. I wish every item in DOTA gave me tankiness and damage! Then I could play Sniper in his true role. Initiator! /s And why is being "Ok" with hyper carries a bad thing here? You make it seem as though the game is inately weaker from a design point, when in actuality without them games would likely not END. Siegeing high ground is much harder to do in DOTA than it is in league simply because of how much damage and power is being thrown around.
Yes not every item. But for most carry champions they will be buying items which have their primary stat on them. That increases their dps and tank at the same time (agility champions get multiplicativly scaling on their primary stat too).
As for hyper carries. They're bad for the game because there are 9 other people playing. It's true that Dota games probably wouldn't end without them but that is because of a lot of other bad design and legacy design decisions from Warcraft.
