TBH I find Corsair's keyboard designs pretty unique....if you want a keyboard that puts style and performance together, I'd say get a Ducky 9008 or 9008S if Ducky keyboards are accessible from where you're at. I would recommend the Cherry keyboard but since you want style then no haha. CM Storm, 6Gv2, and Tt Meka G1 are all good boards you can consider, although with CM Storm people have complained a lot about their branding logo on every aspect of the keyboard and it is annoying for some people (not me though) But then again...if you can get the K60 with such a discount then I'd say go for it. Red switches are designed to be for gaming (makes double tapping easier), and if you find it too light there is always the heavier version black switches (6Gv2 and Tt Meka G1)

can anyone help me?
i've had my ducky dk1087 w/ blue switches for about 6mo now, and a few days ago my "1" key (next to `) it a bit loose now, enough to sometimes make the key stick down without me having my finger on it. i took off the key to see if i could see anything, but the only thing i could see that was different is that if i move the actual switch with my finger, it does wiggle around and it's not tight in place like the others which i checked, and i just want to know what do i do to tighten this?

I've got $10 that says you can get the keycaps off the board with a hammer.
Uhhh, seriously though, you can try getting an exacto knife underneath them? That works on some boards.

What do you guys think of the Razer BlackWindow Ultimate Stealth Edition (RBWUSE)? I keep seeing mixed reactions on it, which kind of worry me since I hate my eyes set on it.

Just got a Noppoo choc mini with a delete key in the wrong position, what the fuck.
So, I got a choc mini while I was in China, works great. Love being able to have my hands closer together. The delete key on the standard layout here is in the far top right (very easy to locate), and then home/pgup/pgdown/end go directly down from it.
I got another choc mini at work, but this time over the internet (corp reimbursement ain't gonna happen for cash deals in China). THE DELETE KEY IS WHERE THE END KEY IS SUPPOSED TO BE What the hell.
So I guess I'm just going to have to physically move the keycaps and remap in software with xmodmap.
Shady ass Chinese hardware, lol.

There are better keyboards with brown switches. Yes the BWU stealth may look cool with the shiny LED lights and all. But seriously the price you pay for the quality is just......no. Better off getting a Ducky 9008S if you want something shiny, and the quality is better and it looks nice.

yeah, it's pretty expensive, but i found a retailer in france who sell it under 100$. And every review i read on the internet praise its quality. So who to believe ? Wow if it's for that price then maybe..just maybe...it can be considered??? I really think quality wise there are better keyboards out there....but in the end it's up to you. Do you like the red mechanical switches? No idea ^^ But for someone that as never touched a mechanical keyboard, is there really a huge difference between red and brown ? Which keyboards do you have in mind, when you talk about better quality ? Use the OP. I went through the trouble of selecting boards to consider. it says that red one are okay to play with, but I want my keyboard to be stylish if i put 100$ in it :p The celeritas seems awesome, but it just look like a regular 10$ keyboard. If you're looking for stylish keyboards you''re in the wrong thread, sir. We are all about feel and quality here.

Well there's nothing wrong for a little bit of style =P I have to say the Cherry G80-3000 is a really good keyboard but meh...not really the best looking keyboard. It looks really simple and old school, which may appeal to some but for me it's just so-so.

How long does it take to fully adapt to a mechanical keyboard? Just switchted from a rubberdome to a Zowie Celeritas (Browns) and though I make so many mistakes ingame which I didn't with my old rubberdome keyboard. Selecting troops and reasigning them to the wrong group etc etc cause the keys push so easily. One week, one month? Playing with 220 APM on a rubberdome or on a mechanical is so much different!

It depends on how much you use it and how good you are with a keyboard? It's kinda subjective, just like everything in comfort and adapting in peripherals.

I think its mostly because the keys are activated 5 times lighter than before.

Hey guys, about to order a Das Professional S, the version with MX Blues, just waiting for the support to get back to me. I am getting the Education Discount, so is there any reason not to get this keyboard for $104.00?

If you don't mind the glossy finish on the case, then it's a pretty well liked board.

anyone know of a place to find browns or blacks for ~50$?

Has anyone in here done the O-ring mod to their mechanical keyboard? Judging by how much it dampens the sound in this youtube video, it sounds like something I'll probably want to do on the keyboard I ordered with blue switches.
Are there any negatives to it, any reasons not to try it other than the cost of the rings?

You reduce key travel, but that is not necessarily a negative. Oh and its pretty time consuming to do.
It does cut down on noise, but you will still have the plastic noise of the key coming up.
