Considering how there aren't any good 480w models that come to mind, ya... you probably have a shit one.

Courtesy of bad design, you'll have no effect 90% of the time, and random lockups/crashes with certain software. Also, if you end up having issues, re-enabling the pagefile without a reformat isn't guaranteed to work.

Like 360, 720, 1080... the other ones, like 480, 1920 etc are also degree measures, just 1/3 circle off (120 degrees). Just a pleasant query.

It has nothing to do with circles, the number (480, 720, etc.) is actually the measurement of vertical pixles. The number of horizontal pixles is then dependant on the aspect ratio (i.e. 4:3, 16:9). The reason behind the usage of these particular standards actually goes back to the mid 80s and use of CRT and television monitors with PCs. If you're interested, there's more info here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Display_resolution#Evolution of standards edit: damn smilies...

Anyways here are pictures of it, and the model i think, (i couldnt find it online) http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/688/1006704.jpg/ http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/851/1006705p.jpg/ and I just want to know if its better than this one tht I was going to get, http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16835103065 if its better i will just install it back . And it was in a AMD cpu, will it still work on the i5 2550k? And what is tht glue sort of thing that its on it? somehow it feels fresh, but should i get some more of tht?

Thermal paste is not glue, it is used to fill the imperfections on the metal surface. It should be replaced everytime you mount the heatsink.

There is this Lamptron touch controller. Lamptrons tend to have a billion channels, a billion watts per channel, and huge chunky heatsinks on each channel. Fairly pricey though.

Any others? That one appears to be 3 pin.

They're doing voltage control as opposed to PWM control. Are all your fans really 4 pin with PWM control? IIRC you can just plug in a 4-pin fan into a 3-pin header. Unless there's something really wonky going on with PWM fans that I don't know about...if it's getting something less than +12V on the positive rail, it won't be run at full speeds even if you aren't doing PWM control. So is this a problem to be 3-pin? You can also look at fan controllers that fit into PCI slots (well the bracket on the chassis) or internal ones like Zalman Fan Mate if you don't need to change the values often.
