Even the latest generation of processors overclocked can't quite manage a consistent 60 fps in late team game scenarios. Luckily, a consistent 60 fps isn't really needed for most people. As to the above poster - core2duo can run SC2 well enough, but it won't handle 60fps except maybe at the beginning of a game when there aren't a bunch of units.

Has anyone else had this problem? If so could you explain why it is happening or more preferrably how to fix this? I would like to be able to play on the EU server soon!

Larva disappearing Glitch (not about 20th larva) http://www.teamliquid.net/forum/viewmessage.php?topic_id=323422 I didn't know Tech Support existed until 10min before this writing. I'm 90% positive that the post is in the right place there, but just wondering if Tech Support has anything to do with my subject. So, I decided to post the question here first. Thank you.

I was hoping to SLI two years from now and now I know that it may not be possible until I buy another one soon. Is the "limited edition" part just marketing to get people to rush and buy the card during holiday season or is it actually limited supply? Or is it actually both? I don't know how limited the 560 Ti 448 is, but in 2 years it won't be that interesting to SLI it. Even if you can still get these cards (which is not that certain), you'll almost always be better of just getting one of the latest generation to replace your current card. SLI / Crossfire is almost only useful if you can't go higher up with single cards.

I'm looking for a quieter, yet decent fan to replace it. I was considering the Noctua NF-F12, are there other fans I should consider? http://www.ncix.com/products/index.php?sku=66920 Thanks. noctua 120mm fans are nice but a bit overpriced. scyte slipstream have essentially the same performance. You dont mention this but why is it running at 100? Isnt it a pwm-fan? those are usually best to use in combination with a radiator slash heatsink. If you cant use pwm for some reason 500-800rpm fans are necessary to keep it quiet.

I've read lots of good things about the Cougar fans so if it were me I'd probably grab the Cougar instead of the Noctua. Or for slightly less, this Gelid seems good.

Well I don't know if it's PWM, I just can't seem to adjust its speed anywhere. It doesn't react to speedfan for instance. Thicker fans will frequently have better static pressure amongst cheaper fans, and there's no reason to spend up on a high end fan for a shitty closed loop. Eh I don't care about fancy fan, I just want a quiet thing that performs like my current leaf blower. Also not sure why it's a shitty closed loop, performs a tiny bit worse than most regular heatsinks at that price but since I carry it around a lot, I'd rather not have a massive hunk of metal hanging off the motherboard. Not sure which specific fans are thick and quiet.

Not sure which specific fans are thick and quiet. You should be able to set the speed in BIOS somewhere. As for noise and quality, that's why I said x38mm. Specifically meaning: most "standard" fans are 25mm thick. 38mm fans can move similar volumes of air at lower RPM, with higher static pressure (helps push air through a radiator). In other words, they're a little bigger, but they help cool your system, without being super expensive. And the H100 is less shitty than most closed loops, but I consider all closed loop lquid coolers to be pure and utter shit. Even though the (couple of) not terrible ones perform roughly on par with a good heatsink, you have all the potential for breakdown that liquid comes with, the potential for a useless system if a pump breaks, all without the drastically better efficiency of a serious custom loop. For your specific use, moving it around a lot, I can see it as a reasonable option, but they're still just kind of ick.

A friend of mine has been having problems with his computer going to a grey screen and freezing up while playing runescape/wow and it seems to be an on/off problem (as in it starts happening for a while then stopping, then when moving to a new game starts happening again). any ideas what could be causing this?

Exact same architecture so at the same clocks they should perform identically (since most games only use at most 4 cores). 960T overclocks much higher and easier usually. It will fare OK in games but not something I'd buy over a current Intel chip in general, though there are certain situations where it would make sense.

But yeah there are many problems with water coolers. The leak part only happens to other people (^^), and if the pump breaks it'll take me like 20 minutes to pop in the stock heatsink while I wait for a replacement. Well, yeah, I didn't say I suggest serious liquid cooling. Most people who have a real use for it would likely need to be asking their questions elsewhere, as well. While we've got some good people, we don't have a concentration of expertise in the enthusiast category, just some dabblers. And not everybody keeps the stuff around that they'd need to swap out coolers in a pinch, along with not everyone having a case that makes it a simple process. Like I said, there's circumstances where it's functional, but I still have utter contempt for the things in general, as they tend to be a profiteering ploy most of the places they're used. ("Get LIQUID COOLING for only $100 extra, installed! Keep your PC safe with our EXTREME overclock, (only $250, tested and guaranteed!!)") type nonsense.
