As long as travis gets to spam another post out its all good!
On topic, it was an invalid debate from the start because there was no fair respresentation and no impartial observer leading the debate.

I'm a big proponent of a players first mentality. As far as I'm considered FUCK teams. I don't give a shit if a team is offended or mad. I want players to get as much money and publicity and fame as humanly possible. I want them to be ripped nerd ballers driving cars inside cars off of playing games. I want SC2 to be a legitimate career choice. In the end, if a player decides that what's best for them is signing with a different team then they should do it. Players first always, fuck teams yo.

When is EG supposed to get access to Korean players except when they're visiting the United States? Everybody's to blame here, but I do think Puma definitely facilitated the massive miscommunication that took place.
That said, he must be getting a fuck ton of backlash from the Korean community. I hope he's okay.

Imagine, you make a big deal on a great up and coming player for your team, but lines of communication get crossed, the player tells his coach before you get the chance to issue a proper statement, and a translator preempts your PR with a major community message informed by one side. This is how I see it.

Milkis, your job is to translate, and it's fine for you to join the discussion, but you're just as bad/guilty as all of the idiots who were assuming this or that in this situation. You're either just a translator with no bias, or you're translating an article (not a translator) to make a comment on. You're not both. If you post an article, don't make biased comments and/or assumptions.
Milkis can make all the comments he wants. He is not an official representative of anyone but himself. Making any part of this Milkis fault in anyway is just ridiculous.

I really wish Chill would have been on this episode, maybe curb some of the huge bias. :s
That said I agree with most of AG's points, I don't think they acted shady or whatever. I just find it really despicable he'd throw personal attacks and talk about journal integrity when all Milkis did was translate a report, and add in some other reports from other websites about the issue.

I felt that DJWheat's little speech was a little pathetic and was just an attempt to cover up the horribad that was his show tonight.

What a debate. Though, i would've wanted to hear Kennigit thoughts. Tweeted something about calling etc. :p

ESPORTS RUINED
Kind of feel sorry for Milki's, he was the wrong person for that segment. Even if he put himself in the crosshair.

yea, his entire final thoughts just highlighted Western views and being ignorant of how esports is treated in Korea. the whole "im putting on my American tinted glasses and ignoring Korea here... I want the best Koreans to play on American teams" thing was a huge wtf.

"Its all about the individual, not the team who made him who he is!" tsl made him, Eg will take him to new places. You mean like the EG training house? To practice against a bunch of players completely out of his league, and ladder on a server not even worth his time? Yeah, sounds like a great way to improve. Sure he gets plane tickets, but he's gonna be relying on his salary without the ability to actually win tournaments. Training in the USA is going to kill his skill.
Truth or not, your opinion is 100% what is limiting and slowing the growth of SC2 outside of korea.
How about giving people a chance maybe?

Fox News style debate, loving it. Now bring up KSNBC with Coach Lee ranting for 30 minutes on how evil EG is and ESPORTS has made it.

AG talked 3 times as much as Milkis and was never interrupted though he was ranting quite a lot and even forgot what he was answering at one point. Not surprising that AG got to finish last either.

Who cares if they cut milkis off because he doesn't have a fucking argument. If he's basic argument is that EG was disrespectiful, then FINE, just say that and the topic is done. If his argument is that this is bad for the scene and for the players, then I have NO idea when or how he made that point. His argument is : feel sad for Coach Lee because.... I mean you can't do this because this is always how we've done this.
Whereas AG is trying to grow the entire esport scene as a whole and not make in a "korean" scene. He is afraid that all the korean organizations will band together and make it even more difficult for foreign teams to get involved and trade players, which is totally understandable given how KESPA currently operates.
I love Milkis, and his translations. But as an SC2 fan and teamliquid member, I just don't know why you are all upset and taking his side. What IS his side? I love SC2 more than coach lee. I love sc2 more than being 100% proper in every conceivable player negotiation. "Who cares if they cut milkis off because he doesn't have a fucking argument." Seriously? Milkis didn't ever deserve the right to at least finish his point, even if he's up against someone who's more well-versed in speech and debate? Fair game, that is not.
