There's a plentiful pool of unsigned players in Korea, certainly much larger than in other scenes, but somehow this is a detriment to the player quality of free agents? What? What do you mean? If they were known to be high quality they'd be on a team (especially when you watch some of the B-team players on the current teams). Anyone who is perceived to be A-team quality would've been picked up by now. The quantity of free agent players is high but you're probably not finding a DRG in there. In fact, you're probably finding B-team players. I'd be impressed if even two of them move up to Code A once in the next year. The quality of players in Korea is amazing, and these B-teamers are probably better than most NA players. But that doesn't mean they're high-quality by Korean standards.

- sign contracts to secure them - PAY them And I also disagree with the fact that EG should contact the TSL coach first, especially since there was no contract between PuMa and tsl. This means that PuMa is free of any obligations and can decide for himself, which is what he did. Stop blaming EG for trying, blame TSL for not signing and paying their players. Also respect PuMa's wish and decision.

All they did is make an offer to PuMa, it's not like they forced him to leave TSL, the player WANTED to join EG. And if any team really wants to hold on to their players, they need to do 2 things: - sign contracts to secure them - PAY them And I also disagree with the fact that EG should contact the TSL coach first, especially since there was no contract between PuMa and tsl. AG must have known the tradition of contacting coaches/managers first. I mean, if inControl, Idra, Machine, and Puma (a year from now) suddenly signed with another team when they were "not under contract", I don't think AG would be very pleased either (especially if he didn't have any idea what was going on).

Except AG would never have that problem because he, you know, signs their players to contracts. Something that, if it happened, we'd never even have this "issue"

This trade deal just served as a reminder to those teams. Now, they'll be signing contracts alright. Again nothing illegal with what AG did, it's all just good business.

I understand that, but you can't simply say "Oh I bet AG would be mad", because there's no situation that exists where that could happen to AG. Anyone would be mad in that specific situation, its those who acknowledge it beforehand that prevent it from ever happening. Why do you think EVERY major sports organization runs off of contracts? The E may be blinding, but E-Sports is the same concept with a different medium.
