To the Europe is not that bad from SEA. 10 Hours flight should not be that difficult. The problem is to the NA, which from SEA needs to cross the Pacific Ocean, which gonna be a very longgg flight.
However, I do believe that a pro should be prepare to make a long flight to compete in a tournament.
I will be doing the flight from SEA to Columbus for MLG, Like you said players should be prepared for long flights if they want to compete all over the world. Major lans in the US have months break in between each event. So for being in malaysia, short flights for GSL games and the occasional long one to MLG Dreamhack etc shouldnt be difficult. You can always schedule the player to get there a day early so they can sleep off the jet lag before the tournament.

Also keeep in mind that when you make an study of marketing costs, the ammount of money it takes to set up a team, buy a house, pay the players etc... is not tha tmuch compared to what you would spend by just putting a full page advertisement on any nationwide magazine. (for a whole year) Those are darn expensive. This is like Ferrari, they have a F1 team and dont make any further advertisement, because you will not see an add on tv

They offer a service I'm interested in. So I'm glad they sponsor events and players.

I think you could definitely contract/invite more players just by showing them pictures of this house. :lol :lol
Having that mansion as a progaming team house is the very definition of baller.

Come on guys, be happy. FXO is not a bunch of idiots. To be fair, the feedback is like 90% positive. But as usual, the people giving negative feedback are a lot more fervent and persistent.
Don't let it fool you, impressions are overwhelmingly going :o and :bow FXO haha

I agree. By sponsoring SC2 scene, at least they make me remember their company. And when I want to invest in the future, I might use their service if they offer what I want.

thanks noxie! Thanks for your support guys.

my only concern is about how will players concentrate on gaming when they are surrounded by so much luxury. other than that, it looks awesome.

It's a shame they'll probably be spending the majority of their time in the practice area instead of living in the mini-palace they have there. Ssss, the house looks soooo nice.

Neat idea, have kind of like a Ultimate Fighter/ Jersey Shore type webshow at a SC2 gamer house hahaha could be interesting...

Look's Fantastic!!..Love the pool and staircase.

When I got the cables installed for the dedicated line, I refused to pay until the Ping was satisfactory for game play. The guideline I set was that the RU server had to have a ping the same or lower than the AUS-SEA ping from the east coast. That ping is approximately 293 I had the target set at 270.
The RU server is pinging at 200, and is the laggiest of servers from Malaysia.
Anyone who further asks questions is simply insulting me for thinking that I would spend so much money on something (I mean renovations, studios, internet, promotion) if it was impossible for a professional gamer to play properly on the NA server at least.
This sounds very reasonable and more like the figures I expected. I didnt know about the built-in delay in Bnet and that changes quite a lot. It should be playable around that latency I guess. guys.
fiber.
solves.
sit the fuck down and shut the fuck up unless you actually have a dedicated fiber line in malaysia and still somehow experience lag.
Now you got FXOpen to say that its in the 200-250 ping range. Thats what I said. Why do you think you know physics and I dont ? Everything Ive said has been true little man so unless you can come up and prove me wrong on something I suggest you keep your mouth shut. Twist my words more please.. I said RU server the laggiest of servers is 200 ping. Nothing you have said is true. Actually, RU server located same place where EU...
