These seem to be the critical aspects of nearly everyone is asking for.
1. More exciting casters. Either commit to making Gretorp/Diggity more entertaining to watch, or or just hire ones that are more exciting. InControl is generally doing a good job.
2. Fix it so that you get in-game sound.
3. USE THE BETTER/MORE UP-TO-DATE VERSIONS OF THE MAPS. Use the MLG/TSL/GOMTV Versions of Metalopolis, Tal-Darim, Crevasse, and Shattered Temple if you use it. And nobody cares about Backwater Gulch, take it out of the map pool.
As long as you respond QUICKLY to these requests (as in apply them to THIS league and not the next one in 2 months. Maybe after the first round of Group Stages or, at the very least, after the group stages are over. A response that is any slower could really turn people off even paying attention to the NASL anymore outside of the big-name players and the Finals/Semifinals. At least with #2 and #3, it's understandably harder to do #1.

Sorry if someone mentioned this already...but perhaps NASL can be the first big tourny to use Picture in Picture (PiP).
I am aware that most of the time casters will miss alot of the action and can be frustrating for the viewer. Its also alittle strange to have the observer on a hellion harass the whole time while Incontrol is talking about a battle that's on the other side of the map.
Please use PiP to help maintain that synergy between caster and observer. It'll be alot easier for the viewer to follow because it feels like Gretorp and Incontrol are constantly looking at something else all the time...
I know you guys can do it since games are not broadcasted til a day later. You guys will ninja in overlays and what not, why not ninja in a PiP to make it easier for us to follow the game because some games will have multiple things going on at once.
NASL is going great. Hope you guys read this and consider it.

in game sound is too low, takes away from the effect of the game. I appreciate that you added music, but you probably shouldnt use BW music. It's a nice touch, but the sc2 music is far from bad, and definately more suited to the game. Should just use in game music.
In terms of casting, the casters need to relax a little. Theyve gotten a lot better but they need to realize that we're all watching the game and realize there are moments that call for just watching. As of right now they just talk TOO much during downtime.

not to have commercial every 30 min and at the worst times as well.
|
1) Put in-game sounds back in. 2) Put in-game music in. 3) Fix the FPS issue. I paid $25 and only have FPS issues with NASL. Even at 240p! Everything else on JTV, LiveStream, etc works fine. Just not the NASL stream. I feel seriously ripped off. Free streams (ad-supported) don't give me any issues, but I pay $25 for one, and it's awful quality.

Give us something special. Right now the NASL only got problems and the game itself. There is nothing where u could say "beside the ugly problems they got amazing production" or anything like that. The only thing they got is the game itself and that isnt enough for a show "with a goal to be the best in the west" or "the next step to a bigger esports future".
And that is the sad part even if they fix all the problems they have there still isnt a great show. Just a okish show with good players and a huge prizepool.
So please step up at the production level. give us something special that could make the show awesome and different.

I found the commentary from Inc/Gretorp tonight to be the best it's been so far, even got a bit of a flash of personality from gretorp in there. Love khaldor, but the sound quality of his mic makes him a bit difficult to follow at times.
Keep improving things, getting better by the day.

I don't even get what people are complaining about. Good production, good casting (I don't get what gretorp is doing wrong.. and he's committed to improving), some great games, good players.
I paid $20 for the pass and I've loved it so far.
The only two minor negative points for me are no low quality vods (my internet sucks) and some great players haven't been able to show up.
But NASL has taken all the criticism seriously and is responding well.

You do realize that changing the map pool mid season is like the worst thing a league can possibly do....
right? Change them yes! before the league ends? no.

iNcontrol just posted on his Twitter feed that they are planning on updating the map pool.

The mic sound today was really low, the music was OK, but mic and ingame sounds were too low. I had to blast my volume just to hear at a semi-comfortable level.

I posted my suggestion in the wrong thread accidentally, so here it is again: Maybe on some days you guys can wear a nice button shirt with a tie (Korean SC style)? Seeing the suit jacket + t-shirt every night might get a little old.
And maybe I'm being picky, but could we see a clean shaven Gretorp every night? A little too much stubble tonight.

You can turn off all commercials. I don't understand the complaints for commercials. Plus, putting up with a few ads (where they make some of their money) shouldn't be that big a deal. Suck it up; you're getting great matches at no cost -.-' I don't see this as a fair complaint.
I would like more variety in casters though. Not sure who they can get or what they can afford, but Diggity was an amazing choice!
I'm very happy that iNcontroL explained that walkovers have to occur at this moment (scheduling is too tightly packed) but how the problem is being fixed (changing schedule slightly to add an extra buffer day). They don't want these inconveniences to occur either.
The problems are trying to be solved. Props to them for being on top of their game and openly communicating with us.
Very professional and very quick to take action. Props, guys.

Other than ill-timed commercials and the missed games (being resolved atm), they seem to be improving nightly! It's encouraging to see it.

HUGE improvements, I knew you guys would get there fast and I know you're gonna keep on improving. I enjoy NASL and I can't wait to see what it's gonna be like in a few months or so.
One thing that I'm not so sure about is all the skype or online voice conversation. I mean the idea is actually pretty good but it just seems like it's technologically hard to support in a good quality. I do like to hear about what the winner is thinking right after the game and stuff like that but it just feels like it's missing something. I know I'm not really coming out with a solution but if you guys or someone knows a way to make this a little better I think that would do a lot of good in the long run.

Not even when the timing of the ads cuts off a significant portion of Stalife's interview? Or when it butchers the postgame analysis and comes back with the next game already started?
I think people wouldn't mind as much if the commercials were appropriately accommodated for with buffer times before and after. A quick "We'll be right back in a moment" is all that's needed.

Anybody else sick of all these personalities completely looking down on zergs? incontrol, tyler and gretorp all taking this high horse approach, "for all the zerg players at home you really have to do x, y, and z if you don't wanna get absolutely demolished for being terrible" (that's the vibe anyway). On its own it doesn't seem so bad, but when it's only for zerg players and it's always when zerg is losing (which is most of the time these days), I get really turned off. It's like you're using your position to talk imbalance without ever using the word imbalance, adding a touch of arrogance and leaving no room for a reply.
