a) finish your damn sentences Gretorp, not everyone is is going to guess what you are going to say b) stop commentating the obvious c) stop repeating what inControl says in a off key song like voice, that isn't cool and sounds just pathetic d) Does gretorp actually play this game competitively? As a low diamond/ platinum player even, I can think of more insightful commentary on the games. He seems to be a silver / gold player, and often times asking inControl for "proper" analysis e) Annunciate your words gretorp, a lot of times you slur a ton of your words and it's like listening to Kelly except you don't actually have an accent. f) it's hard to take NASL seriously with this kind if poor commentary. Sure ultra nerds and dedicated fans will love it because of the gameplay and players, but nobody will be interested if the commentary is boring, unintelligent and uninteresting g) Please STOP "guessing" what's going to happen and getting called wrong right after. Stop trying to prove to people you know the game, even inControl corrects you and that just makes Gretorp sound so dumb. He definitely feels like a gold player or something. h) Seriously Gretorp needs to work on his speech, when he starts monologuing, I have no idea what he's talking about. i) Stop saying holy crap, omg, that's amazing on dumb things like he went a extra hatchery, he put down a spire. Those aren't holy crap moments, he just changed strategy so what? j) STOP REPEATING EVERYTHING INCONTROL SAYS... h) Gretorp is often incredibly confusing, in one game he kept talking about mothership and the protoss never made a mothership. He's like OH IT'S COMING DOWN FROM HEAVEN... can anyone tell me WTF he's talking about? Can you imagine an average user watching this? It's just silly, there's no problem with NASL in terms of quality, there is a big problem in the production quality in terms of talent. Get someone insightful, and get someone that's interesting. Gretorp just sounds dumb all the time, and lacks anything. Sorry to be this blunt but seriously, NASL has half a million dollars of prize money on the line and has some a crappy commentator. What gretorp is is that he is a viewer, not a commentator. He belongs in the viewer's seat with everyone else, watching the NASL with 2 more insightful, more energetic and interesting commentators. I nominate Day9, Husky, HD, anyone. | ||

I nominate Day9, Husky, HD, anyone. Im sorry but you would rather have husky or HD commentate over Gretorp? Gretorp is/was a very good player and he has so much knowledge of the game. Sure, husky and HD have done alot for the community but did you see HD commentate the HDWT? He is very out of touch with the game and he made alot of mistakes while casting. I can only see gretorp getting better as, with gretorp perhaps having trouble communicating what he is trying to say, I think improving the way you speak is much much more easier than sitting down and husky and HD trying to get the same knowledge that gretorp has. EDIT: Also I noticed you said that Gretorp commentated like a silver/gold player and that you wondered if he was a pro. Enough said. | ||

I nominate Day9, Husky, HD, anyone. Not only is Gretorp in Grandmasters league but he just played in the most recent MLG which he qualified for by being top 16 in the last MLG. | ||

I think this is a problem if we want esports to grow. If I were to try and get some of my friends into starcraft, I'm sorry to say this, but I wouldn't recommend the NASL to them. The casts just don't grab the audience. I'm not saying that they should be swapped out for another caster, but I do think they need to work on their casts. | ||
