Lack of any information on the walkover Haypro vs. Strelok match until the naslseasonone mod showed up in the chat. This was after the caster's did their wrap-up of the matches for the evening.

Please inform your audience/paying customers before the stream goes live of any walkovers for that particular day. This really looks bad on NASL.
It is what it is, promote change, or work within the parameters.

The countdown timer during the breaks seems really weird. It's in the format of HH:MM:SS: ??. The breaks are never an hour long (at least I hope not!!) so I don't know why it's always prefixed by 00. I'm not sure what's supposed to come after the seconds. As far as I can tell, it counts down in 50 ms intervals, so when it finishes one second it resets to 25. Very strange.

I'd prefer it if the timer just gave MM:SS. It would look much cleaner.

A casting thing: Why is everything these days "thrown down" ? Buildings are thrown down, force fields are thrown down, fungal growth is thrown down, I think I even heard of guardian shield being thrown down. I'd rather hear more descriptive words -- buildings are built, force fields are placed, fungal growth is cast.

I also think it's bad form to call GG before the players do. It's fine to say something like "I don't know how he will recover", but calling the game over before it is doesn't feel right to me.

I know it's extra work but every day make small cheat note to the casters where it reads players names (that are playing that day) and their win-loss score, so they don't mess up the players wins/losses so often and need to correct right after. Not big deal just something I think would make the show a little better.

Keep up the good work!

I'd like the NASL website and broadcast to say more about where we are in the tourney, what depends upon the outcome of these matches, who's going on to the round of 16, when that will start, etc. etc. It's hard to find this kind of info.

They definitely need to change the ingame-music thing, the volume is far too low.
Some music outside the games would also be nice.

Those are the major two things I'd like to see fixed.

Oh, and make paypal work, else I can't buy a ticket!

Gretorp needs to stop being so baked ^^ (just kidding)

I think mr.Bitter and Gretorp have done a good job lately, maybe a bit more of the bracket analysis wouldn't hurt though.

I have to second this because keeping up with all the tournaments is kind of hard sometimes and having that info be put out before or after each match (or at least the high profile ones) would make me far more inclined to watch every single night of it. Great tip dizzy. :D

I think a change that definitly needs to happen is to warn of walkovers and matches that aren't happening AT THE START OF THE BROADCAST. I know this way you might lose some viewers, but it's even more annoying when you're looking forward to a match, and then seconds before it starts they tell you it isn't happening after you spend the whole time waiting.

At the start of each broadcast, just run the clips where you explain why matches aren't happening.

Suggestion:

For the next season, you should offer all players in the top 50 a nominal prize/bursary for playing out the round robin, even if it's only $225 ($25/game). You should also enforce harsh penalties for players that don't play out your games. Like a ban from participating in any NASL event for a year, a loss of their security deposit in it's entirety, etc.

Of course this is all in light of Painuser essentially flaking out of the league. Considering the stakes of the tournament, it is integral that players play out their games. Currently, Idra, Boxer and Zenio are in a dead heat in their division for second place, and Boxer and Zenio will essentially be getting free wins.

It's really unfair to Idra, the NASL, the fans, and all the other pro's (NightEnd, Dimaga) that were interested in participating. Does NASL have any ideas how to mitigate against players leaving mid-tournament due to losing records?

Well they could just award wins to anyone that played against him already even if they lost or just remove the score of playing against him for everyone like he never existed.

By the way, am I the only one that is kind of bothered by Mr. Bitter's casting?
The whole vibe I get from his looks, manners and voice is like I Norman Bates is casting NASL and any moment now he is going to gut Gretorp and go talk to his mother :D
Oh and I am really bothered that when he talks 95% of the time he just looks at nothing (neither the other caster or the people he is casting for).

This may seem obvious but I, as a relative newbie, do not understand how the points system works, Boxer is 6-1 and has 7 points, but Select has 6-1 and 10! I found an answer in this is, but I feel this needs to be more readily addressed on the NASL website.

The NASL site does not assist me in this either and perhaps this could be an amendment; It's easy to assume everyone understands how NASL scores the players but SC2 is a rapidly growing game and I think at times it needs to be a tad more newb orientated.

Make incontrol and gretorp stop making all the bad joke, dont try to be funny when you can achieve the effect.

Also, they are play in the high level. But I didn't heard any game insight when they cast. Two pro player caster together all they do is play by play and trying to be funny.

LOL, I was wondering if I was the only one who thought he seemed really high a lot of the time. I swear to god he has to be LIT for many, if not all of the casts.

I think the most important thing to address is the stream.

It hasn't worked two days in a row. It's hard to watch games that aren't broadcast, and since NASL is either hiding sponsors, or using only stream revenue to fund themselves, you'd think actually being able to stream would be a priority.

Edit: I don't mean to sound like a dick, I watch NASL every day, I disable adblocker and give their commercials my most dedicated attention. I might buy a pass next year because I want to support the NASL! I just think it's kind of silly that they're Dallas-ing it 8 weeks in. As well as the many problems with editting either not occuring, or not being overseen, final-product-wise.

1)
i remember back in early release day gretorp make this little strategy episodes.
What do you think about adding some analytic part to the NASL?

If you analyse life in a game you make mistakes. Dont get me wrong, everybody do so.
Sometimes the game change to fast to analyse good what happens right now. Cutting important scenes out of the replay and analyse them after game or in a break could be really good.

Like drawing positions at paused replays. People like such things and it always looks pro if you paint something on the screen
I don't know if this is good for normal games but as soon as you reach the tournament-stages it can be an option.

2)
@gretorb i understand that you don't want to call everything all-in but things like:
6 rax pressure, 4 gate pressure , 1 base collosus push .... sounds a little bit wired.
If its 100% allin you should call it allin.

3)
Your bracket system.
There is something i don't get. the best player of the league have to play the WINNER of the free tournament in 1 stage. Everyone who thinks about this and is in top stages of the league will loose his last game on purpose to don't get Nr.1. You should think over this hole bracket system.
I don't think the winner of a other tournament should have the chance to play in this session,
you watch the player all the time for 12 weeks and than someone you never see before comes and wins the hole thing. this would be awkward.

You can make many qualification tournament (like tls) and let it cast by other casters. This way you have great advertising on many streams and platforms for your product and make sure only really good players play in next session.

Normally if someone left a league every of there games end 0-2 against him. even the games in the past. This is how other leagues handle it and most of them don't allow this player to play next session. If you make such clear rules in the beginning you don't have to decide later what is a good reason to leave and what not.

Incontrol should stop the sudden raising of voice; and Gretorp should stop moaning when a favored player makes a mistake.

There are way too many stupid awkward moments between incontrol/gretorp when casting. I feel like gretorp tries too hard to compete with incontrol's humor and it makes him look silly.
