And they also hide Taiwanese flag every year and I dislike it every year. Well what can you do, the company isn't from one of the 18 countries that recognize Taiwan as a sovereign state.

Time might just be the 2nd best foreign terran acutally. its between him, heromarine and uthermal. results wise, its probably uthermal, but cmon, Time is so much better than anyone else in china, inviting him should be a given What results?
Special, TIME, & HeRoMaRinE is the pretty clear top-3.

Here’s my voting and it’s reasoning:
Korea:
INnoVation - GSL hasn’t been kind to him this year, that is true. But he had a runner up finish at HomeStory Cup XVIII and won a premier tournament this year in WESG, beating Serral. I really do like TY but since BlizzCon what has he REALLY done?
soO: This is an easy sell. He won IEM Katowice. He clearly is the “2nd best” performing Korean Zerg this year. Rogue has done next to nothing since BlizzCon so he never entered my mind as a viable choice.
Trap: Honestly, this man deserved to be seeded. Two GSL Top fours plus a decent Katowice run, top four in KR points. There’s no other right choice. Stats would’ve been the option if Trap had been seeded, but his accomplishments are not as impressive this year.
WORLD:
HeRoMaRinE: The best European Terran, he’s consistently gotten deep at every WCS Event and has proven he can hold his own with the Koreans. (Honestly I kinda want to see him go against Dark just for the explosion of ego in the studio between the two 😂)
Reynor: There’s really no other choice here. Actually stop and think about this: Reynor has won more Circuit titles than Serral in 2019. Nuff said. My runner up would be Scarlett - 2 GSL entries, top 8 in Summer, runner up in Winter and top four in WESG.
ShoWTimE: As I said earlier there’s not much to pick from in World Protoss after Neeb. I chose him because he’s done better, he is in the top 8 of WCS currently and had a decent showing at WCS Summer. But in truth World Protoss candidates feel like a participation trophy. But I felt he was clearly the most viable of the candidates.
TIME absolutely is a top tier Terran, he is #5 in Circuit standings and it’s one of the few times China has a player worthy of our attention. This isn’t like last year when Cyan got in which felt like a joke. TIME is more than worthy to participate here, and that’s my take on him. It’s nice that he actually has a resume to warrant the invite.

Well, China is essentially a separate region with their own server and events, it's fine that they have their own invite. As you say, TIME is easily a top8 foreigner at the moment.

Well, let's see, same in GSL as Inno (though TY has room for improving while Inno is done for the year). Only Terran in the playoffs at Katowice. Coincidentally also a runner-up finish at HSC. They both won offline tournaments in China that nobody actually cares about. And then Inno has won WESG while TY got a few minor wins in the off-season.
So basically they've both spent a long time not living up to their names but Inno won WESG. And the main reason to vote for TY is actually just to meme about a GSL caster defending the honor of GSL by himself. Just imagine being that guy who goes to GSL vs The World to represent the World and they send a caster to face you

They invite a Chinese player because of the potential boon the tournament can get form a Chinese player being there, viewer wise. Guaranteeing a Chinese player probably has a statistical benefit greater than that of an additional spot to another EU foreigner would.
Plus, TIME deserves the spot. He’s in great shape right now, and is a great representative for the Chinese scene.
Also, Big Gabe has a fine personality. He speaks his mind and says it like he sees it. We need more of that, or else every player is just Alphastar incarnate.

Scarlett post this vote on weibo(Chinese Twitter). I think she will exceed Reynor.

Once them sweet Chinese vote start pouring in shell probably end up surpassing Reynor

I gues everyone hast to Vote for Reynor now, so he gets highest second after Scarlett. If this poll is run over by Scarlett fanboys and Reynor isn t going to GSLvsWorld, it d be a pretty sad day. I get what people saying about Harstem and uThermal deserving it. But Reynor is just so much better than anyone you can vote for in Worlds Team.

even if Scarlett does end up surpassing him in voting, Reynor still has a big lead over both harstem and uthermal and i doubt either of them pass him, so either he's making it as the vote leader or the wild card. I think it's safe to say that Reynor makes it to gsl vs the world

True SC2 commitment right there.
She needs a LOT of votes to surpass Reynor right now, so I guess he will be chosen as the zerg representative (as he should, he is clearly the second best foreigner zerg), and she will get the wild card (and probably get destroyed the moment she hits a protoss according to her last tournaments :/). But it's always great for the viewership to have her playing.

They've never pulled anything quite like the Brazilian CS:GO scene did for Kelazhur last year.

Scarlett will probably get the wild card vote which is about right. She definitely doesn’t deserve the top Zerg vote: that is clearly Reynor this year. But she should probably make it in.

I get why they are doing it, but I think it is ok to point it out and disagree. In fact, I think if everybody was complaining, not that that is very realistic, they would change it.

Yes, TIME is really good, this year, China would have probably gotten their representative in a legit way, but because the rules aren't same for everyone, we won't find out. I guess we will not agree on heromarine's personality, I don't like players who don't respect their opponents, but I see how it could increase the excitement. I'd rather get the excitement from not knowing who will get in...

And the government isn't going to recognize Taiwan, because China is far too important to anger.
