HeroMarine, Reynor and Harstem, I like Showtime but he is the favorite so maybe Harstem can get one of the other spots.

You can’t vote for players that don’t have a certain amount of WCS Points. Has “has” had a pretty bad year. He got in last year based on his WCS Valencia run which gave him a ton of points.

Am I the only one who thinks this format kinda sucks? Why do I have to vote for a particular race? Why can’t I just vote for my top four instead (outside the invites, which I tend to agree with for the most part)?

For example, I voted for ShoWTimE in Protoss but in all honesty I don’t think any of the World Protoss player options are worthy of being included. None of them have done enough to deserve top eight consideration.

Same sort of thing is happening on the Korean side where a lot of people are voting for Stats and PartinG instead of Trap: excuse me, have any of you been actually watching this year? 👀

I want the best players from each side and I don’t like being pigeon holed because of the races they play, that’s my rant.

was it gsl vs the world where there was so much discussion and drama about one of the players reaching out to fans of a different community for votes?

Yeah, Kelazhur got voted in last time by Brazilian CS:GO fans.

Heromarine, Reynor and Showtime are the obvious choices for me here.

First places pretty clear right now. Wildcard favorites are Scarlett, uthermal and Harstem right now. Is it finally the year of Harstem (again)?

It's just been 14 hours and there's still a week to go. I assume things can still happen especially cause TL doesn't enforce any criteria of activity or age on accounts eligible to vote

Feel like we should not be able to see what the current votes are. Show them after we have voted to not get influenced otherwise

they should hide the current amount of votes, It creates runaway votes because people feel its pointless to vote for anyone other than the player with the highest amount of votes so far

Showtime is top 8 in the WCS standings and made top 4 at WCS Summer. If he doesn't deserve top 8 consideration there's nobody else who deserves your vote in his stead either.

This vote is actually leading to Team World getting represented by the top 8 players in WCS, except Scarlett (#9 in WCS) is gonna take Elazer's spot.

Scarlett's votes will exceed Reynor.

Sure hope so, outside ZvZ and its volatile nature, Reynor doesn't really pose an actual challenge to Koreans.

scarlett hasn't been performing very well this year, also i would urge you to take a look at gsl 2018 season 3.
if nothing else, reynor made it to the round of 16 after defeating classic 2:0 in the 5th match.
at any rate, at seems both reynor, as the leading zerg representative, and scarlett, as the leading 4th player, will make it.

For those who are whining about the voting format... Come on, this is GSL vs. World, this is a tournament where MY favourite player plays against YOUR favourite player. These players don't have to the best of best. That's what the WCS Global Final is for.

Can someone explain why the current wcs standings appear different than who was invited? Was there an earlier cutoff?

It's the #1 Zerg, #1 Terran, #1 Protoss, and #1 Chinese players. So it actually matches.
