Congrats. So we are having something like a Soulkey/Flash analogy in the Chinese scene as well?
Also the other thing I learnt from this news is that the only place where Protoss did better than the other two races is the foreign scene prior to Chinese integration.

I think the individual player factor is stronger, there are more Chinese players playing Protoss and Zerg, and the number of champions of Protoss, Zerg and Terran before 2019 is about 37:26:14. The rise of Mihu after 2019 changed that, until the last two years saw a resurgence of Zerg Protoss players.

Protoss and Zerg players in China are more numerous and more active than the sparse Terran players.

As a side note, Mihu has lost his dominance. His last CSL title was in CSL season 10, more than a year ago.

lol seeing [SvS]Kid still competing in this is kinda funny, I met the guy in WCG 2009 regional qualifier in China, was funny guy.

Awesome! Congratulations XiaoShuai !
I'm sure he is feeling on top of the world right now, that's great, thanks for sharing.

So i know in the past Fengzi dominated the chinese scene also. But back then if i recall there were very few tourneys compared to what the actual circuit is. Is xiaoshuai way more dominant than what fegnzi was ? Also taking in consideration the guy took 2 games from FlaSh i imagine Mihu is really not deal for him lol.

You are right, 2006-2008 can be called the golden age of Chinese StarCraft, when many events were officially promoted by the government and supported by big corporations.Since 2021, China StarCraft can be said to have entered the second golden age, and the number of competitions and prize money have been greatly improved through extensive sponsorship, but unfortunately, it has not been supported by the government and large enterprises.

Many fans believe that this is the era of the Big Three(Xiaoshuai, Zhanhun and Mihu), and are worried about whether Xiaoshuai can surpass Fengzi's achievements.

I really enjoyed the Pj-Lx era as it always cemented the idea at least for myself that Chinese Brood War was right behind Korea compare to the rest of the world.
But also they were benefited from having trained at SKT, so I don't know, because even back then during that Era they were way too dominated in China as the rest can barely put up a fight against these two.
As for now, I think is a bit more interesting, honestly I have not been following the pro brood war scene in ages from China.
But seeing new names popping and some old familiar friends still competing is nice.

I don't think the foreigner has the same environment, if the context here is about ability to play and practice, you have to realize even that Brood War is not as huge as it is in Korea, it still has a lot of fans....
I know personally that one of my friend who works at Amazon in US has been donating quite a bit to Fengzi's stream and such.
I mean a lot of these guys are making a living out of streaming brood war still, I don't think that is the case outside of Korea/China, except Artosis(who just don't make........ you know, he is cursed for tournament play) :D cast curses you know, hahahahaha.
