PiGFEST 5.0 IS HERE!
With no one knowing for sure what is happening with Blizzard/EWC/ESL, we have decided to host PiGFest 5.0!
This will be an opportunity for the community to come together, watch great Pro StarCraft 2 and support the players.
QUALIFIER DETAILS
PiGFest Qualifier #1
Schedule: Tuesday, 18 February 2025 10am KST / 12pm AEDT
Qualifying spots: 1 spot for the top non qualified player. This qualifier also doubles as Pigosaur Weekly #19 with $400 prize.

Schedule: Tuesday, 18 February 2025 10am CET / 6pm KST / 8pm AEDT
Qualifying spots: 2 spots. Qualified players are not allowed to play in this one.

Both qualifiers are open to all regions.

Reynor was the only player to decline his invite. His spot was added to PiGFest Qualifier #2, making it a total of 3 spots available through qualifiers.
PRIZE POOL
1st = 24%
2nd = 14%
3rd-4th = 9%
5-6th = 7%
7-8th = 5%
9-12th = 3%
13-16th = 2%
Total = Minimum $2,000USD (Max $10,000USD - funds above this will be diverted to the next PiGFest)
GROUP STAGE
Schedule: 27 February - 2 March, starting at 10am CET / 6pm KST / 8pm AEDT each day.
Format: 4-player group stages with GSL format. All matches will be best of 3.
PLAYOFFS
Schedule: 14-16 March, starting at 10am CET / 6pm KST / 8pm AEDT each day.
Format: AFL format.
HOW TO WATCH
PiGFest will be streamed on www.twitch.tv/x5_PiG in English.
All non-english casters are welcome to cast this tournament. Contact PiG on Discord or Twitter for more details.
All PiGFest matches will be uploaded to PiG Casts youtube channel.

Doesnt Blizzard still need to grant the license to host tournament with prizepool over 10k? Though I doubt anyone from MS really care about it at this point.

Similar to what we did for PiGFest 3.0 and 4.0, if the prize pool hits $10k we will divert any funds over that to the next PiGFest.

Has Solar eaten any large nukes besides the famous one vs Maru?
Classic lost a game to Maru just this year by letting his entire army get nuked. Admittedly it wasn't as bad as losing a won game like solar did, but he still let a maxed protoss army get demolished by a nuke...

Serral didn't scout Cure's 3rax in time. Didn't watch the Trigger games, but I think the casters said Serral messed up his early harass defense badly.
