What do the tickets get me:
Both tickets give you access to the venue, where you can watch, play, hang out, and come and go as you want to. The main difference between the tickets is that the premium ticket comes with a free shirt. It also goes to helping support the tournament in getting players there and the prize pool.
What is there to do:
Well, beyond some great 1v1 StarCraft, you'll be in one of the most historic cities in the US. Downtown Chicago is always one of my go-tos while I'm there. I'm a big sucker for the pier and all the restaurants around that area. You can get more info on that here: navypier.org. In addition, we go out after each night, so you have time to sit and eat and drink with the players. It's incredibly laid back, and everyone is welcome! There's just no comparison to playing StarCraft live with people, going out to eat with them, and just truly experiencing the community that we're all a part of.
Final notes:
I mean it when I say there's nothing quite like a LAN. If you've never been to one, I can't recommend it highly enough. I'm sure you can ask people who have been to CSLAN in previous years, or MTLAN last year will agree with me.
