If it happens during the Code S ro8 games this week I'll probably regret it. 2 day would be worth it without question. ETT's promising 2 weeks though lol. Only if I get to you first. You willing to gamble? Fuck yeah. It's going to be ridiculous. Plenty of Rainbow Dash incoming :D :D :D :D I just hope I'm around when the 1k hits, I'd be really disappointed otherwise. Fuck it, I'm in. I spend too much time on TL anyway. Who's with me?
-edit: Optical, you realize you have to do it too, right? It's your destiny. Together we will rule the galaxy... be famous
-edit2: Unless it happens while I'm asleep and TI and the other PBUs snipe all 20 posts, then I guess I won't be doing it. But otherwise.... MY DESTINY http://www.teamliquid.net/forum/viewmessage.php?topic_id=32696¤tpage=1000This thread grows really fast though, it might all be over before I think of another troll blog idea. *edit: even for that one above, Plexa up'd it to a 2 weeker lol. I mean a piece of history is worth it, but then I was SO bored at work for 2 weeks not being able to reply to girl blogs... Considering I don't actually do anything at work, this could be a real issue. But I think I could find something constructive to do for 2 weeks. Can you edit LP while temp banned? If so I might start working on the strategy sections, they need it. Other possibilities include editing Memory Alpha, editing wikipedia articles about SC stuff, reading some C# tutorials I've sort of put learning that on the back burner, photoshop tutorials, cinema 4d tutorials, bugging random people on FB who I haven't spoken to or acknowledged for years, I'm sure I could keep myself busy for 2 weeks. Would suck, but I can manage. You all are going to have to deal with all the bread puns though; for your sakes I hope it's a 2 day lol.
Either that or it will turn into a 30 page, 2 week ban spree. There IS the option of slaughtering people until the puns stop.
Never forget Plan C.

i wish that phrases like "ignore the haterz" and "dont let trolls get to you" were moderated as hard as memes. people should be valued on the quality of their arguments not based on if they are with or against the current trends, or if they happen to dislike someone who is famous. Absolutely not. I wish the phrase "ignore the haters" were more common. Think about every single meltdown by a public figure in the SC2 scene over the past few months. If those people had just followed the simple advice of "ignore the haters," they wouldn't have made themselves look like idiots/jerks/whatever. Public figures HAVE to ignore negative comments online. It's the only way to survive.

M. Night Shmamamamalan twist: the first post of the 1000th page of the ABL is ETT closing the thread. 2nd post is motbob posting an ASCII hand flippin the bird.
Everyone who has ever posted in the ABL gets 2dayed. Except for the poor sucker who made the last post of page 999, he gets 2weeked by ETT.

Agreed. This is why people who become famous are told not to Google themselves. Even if they are the nicest, most honest, most well-meaning person, there will always be haters and someone will always seem to find that one tiny thing that will set them off. You just have to ignore it. It is hard a lot of times though...

but my mum told me to ignore idiots when i was 5, i dont need to be reminded by teamliquid posters, its like the ultimate 0 content post. being reminded of something which everyone knows and has been said 1000 times before. its the exact same reason memes are frowned apon. "ignore the haters" and "haters gonna hate" are basically the same thing, one is nice guy mode and one is idiot meme spammer...?

yurta was just temp banned for 2 days by tree.hugger.
That account was created on 2011-06-22 16:26:58 and had 46 posts.
Reason: You're off to a great start on TL.net. How about we avoid stereo typing entire countries, okay?
What can we stereotype then? Is it at least safe to say that 100% of TL users named JingleHell are assholes?

I'm tempted to try for something epic. Need to know, though: Will page 1000 posts be left up as long as there isn't a major reason (like nudity or some such) to pull them?

ETT how about if I post on the 1000 thread you give me a 30 day.
then I drive to baltimore and steal your SKT shirt, even though it's touched your nuts

Dude...I wanted that pushed out of my mind...damn you.

Actually that makes no sense.
If I DON'T get a post on the page 1000, 30 day. If I do, I am immune to motbob's pag 1000 celebration, deal? :p

This is going to take longer than we thought, lol.

Is that a challenge? Are you asking us to step it up? Maybe the mods need to step up with some more interesting bans to talk about. =)

Beware of this one, I sense darkness in him.... "You were the Chosen One! It was said that you would destroy the Nazi mods, not join them! Bring balance to the Banlist, not leave it in darkredness!"
EDIT: Also, with the news of release of Starcraft 2 Episode 2 Beta, can't wait for the new Beta Roulette.

You should go around and sticky that on top of every thread. And ban people if they don't follow the rule. It would be great for everyone involved (who ignored the haters).
