Most people that have the checkerboard keyboards have a friend or are a keyboard enthusiast with another colored keyboard of the same kind, and they switch half the caps. You can order keycaps from some online companies but in general you're not going to find keys that match the blackwidow's design. The fonts used on the blackwidow are a little bleh, and they're probably unique to the blackwidow. If razer came out with another keycap set based on the blackwidow's design and of a different color that'd probably be your best bet. In general though, yeah; if you order keycaps you can fit them on your cherry keycaps. Make or buy a keycap puller and take some keys off if you are wondering how it looks. http://www.overclock.net/keyboards/491752-mechanical-keyboard-guide.html#post6025354

You can get ABS keys from wasdkeyboards.com. Profile of their keys are good for Filcos. If you want PBT ones wait on one of the group buys at geekhack.org. There are a couple of threads with really nice engraved PBT caps...they're obviously more expensive though. Taobao.com also has OEM Filco keys, but it's in Mandarin and they're only about 5 dollars cheaper then wasdkeyboards.com. wasdkeyboards.com has really reasonable shipping. You can't for a black widow. I mean it's possible but some of the keys in the bottom row aren't standard 104 layout. Also they don't use standard fonts so unless you buy 2 key cap sets it'll look really funny.

I couldnt really find much info on the deck keyboard but i wasn't really a fan of the look of it anyways so i read alot about the blackwidow and would have bought one if it wasn't for my local store having such an outrageous markup no joke $190 (im from Australia btw, we get screwed a lot over here lol) for the blackwidow Ultimate i laughed and walked out came home and checked out the U9bl and made my purchase. i was so impressed when it turned up today after i got home from work 7 days after ordering it that i thought i would hop on here and make a recommendation to you guys that if you can afford it the xarmor u9bl it is a great keyboard (if your looking at buying a mech keyboard neways its not that much more than a blackwidow for example) its has the backlighting, it has mic headphone and usb ports, the sweet cherry blue switches, detachable wrist wrest construction seems really strong and that it turned up in exactly 7days from America to Australia im really impressed with this keyboard and would recommend anyone to check them out if your in the market p.s. im sorry i dribbled on about about my situation and am very bad at constructing sentences and probably some spelling errors in there as well i tried to proof read but its just so much fun to type now hehe.

Here is says it's 45cm http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/mechanical-switch-keyboard,2955-8.html While here it says 19.8 inches (48cm) and 9.8 high http://gaming-keyboard-review.toptenreviews.com/steelseries-6gv2-details.html Which is correct? Can someone give me precise measurements for this? If it's the latter then it is far too big for the space I am in, the former will just about fit in. Also anyone who has it, what do you think about the thickness of the keyboard? Is it unusually thick or is it not noticeable? Cheers.

Even better price if you only want semi-custom or standard. Lots of good reviews from them. man you saved my life on this one. Do they not have printed key caps?

For Canadians: Infonec - $89.99 Das Keyboard Ultimate Cherry MX Blue + [S&H] http://infonec.com/site/main.php?module=detail&id=456419 I was able to price match with NCIX and got it shipped to my house for cheaper than this website. So thats an idea too. I paid a total of $109 including shipping and taxes by pricematching on the NCIX website. Just thought i'd share.

If nothing really...then which keyboard is the best brown switch keyboard? (quality i guess?). If I am not mistaken, all switches are made from the same factory, hence it is exactly the same switch. However, for some strange reasons my Noppoo cherry brown feels more sensitive than my Das....
