I just found an old HP mechanical keyboard in my office storage room, and it feels amazing. I did a check on the serial number and originally it was manufactured in 91, which is real cool to have something from that era that still works. | ||

Injection moulding is the only way to make a custom keyset like that, and a custom mould runs in the thousands of dollars, if not more - And that's just one of the two parts of one key. Now add constant re-tooling because you only shoot one of each part, and you've got a monstrously expensive keyset. The only way people are able to use this technique in regular production is by producing very large quantities of products and splitting the cost of the mouldmaking over all these sales. For a one-off batch, it's simply not feasible. If you want fully customized keys (and it's still going to cost you...), pad printing or perhaps dye sublimation are your options. Neither are exactly shabby, to be honest. I feel like a lot of keyboard afficionados make a bigger deal out of "bad keycaps" than there really should be. A set of Filco keys is still going to last years before the letters wear down. | ||

they also have a group order for custom Starcraft double shots,,, including all the Race logos etc.. for the windows keys, esc and i forget what other options, but im getting these double shots in allw hite for my black leopold. And not sure if I want orange or blue just for my macro keys... like attack, move, stop, casting buttons etc.. just to make it feel more like a Sc2 board. haha I dont need them just think it would look sweet. | ||
