The reason there's so many Terrans invited is because a disproportionately large number of top Koreans are Terrans, probably as high as 75%. Even as a massive Koreans fanboy who prefers watching Koreans to foreigners every time I do agree it's a bit of a shame that there are no LAN's for just foreigners to compete at (online tournaments aren't the same excitement) but MLG is infinitely better since Koreans started coming. Also the willing foreigners are doing much better out of the exchange than Koreans. Guys like Thorzain, Naniwa, Fenix and Sheth all got Code A spots from it (chances are none of them would have made it through the Code B sharkpool) and from this MLG we'll get a futher four, potentially Sjow, Socke, Moonan, Select and others, all of whom would struggle to qualify for Code A normally. Yeah, but I would have liked to see the koreans go through open bracket at least. Just giving players that will surely rip through the pools a free invite into pool is weird imo. Chae from GOM was even dissapointed that no foreigner wanted to participate in GSL (well close to non), so it seems to me that they wanted to exchange program so that they could get foreigners into GSL... not a backdoor into GSL for koreans.

So you just want to see the GSL champions rape foreigners? I don't see the fun in that. Its like mixing paralympics with the olympics... Its not fun to watch.

Putting all the Koreans into the open brackets would be insane because: A) The Pool Play would be a waste time of time, no one would care about the games because it would just be a practice until the Korean turns up from the Open Bracket and goes 5-0. B) The Open Bracket would be impossible for non Korean pro to make it out of. The purpose of the Open Bracket is to allow lesser known players a chance of a lifetime. Not for 10 Korean ringers to completely dominate everyone. None of the EU teams would bother sending players anymore because there's so little chance of them making it out of the Open Bracket and therefore it's not worth their money. Seeding the Koreans was by far the best option, anyone saying otherwise has really not thought it through.

Its not fun to watch. The invites this time were three Code B players and a Code S player, plus Ganzi who is Code B and Rain who was Code S. Those players made up the top six. There's around 200+ players in Korea who could make it out of the open brackets and 50-100+ who could go 5-0 in pool play.

Its not fun to watch. I agree. Having a few lesser known guys fighting for a Code S spot makes a lot more sense, and hopefully they will be closer to the foreign players in skill.
