Welp, ZvTmech is going to be completely annoying. ZvP the only thing that makes it more difficult is the collosi. We can still neural archons in the front line just fine, I suppose. Though...Now we can't grab a collosi, and if we do...The infestor is guarenteed to die to focus fire. A shame =/. At least we get a collosi for a whole 2 seconds ^^ SWEET!

In the majority of scenarios I can think of, your Infestors will outnumber the units they are trying to infest. If your opponent has more Colossus or Thors than you have Infestors, you should absolutely lose the game outright.
Given the other buff to NP present in the patch (getting attack upgrades), this makes Neural Parasite a much more interesting spell to watch, with both higher risk and higher reward than before.

I just don't see why a reduction is needed for any situation except Collosi. NP combined with fungal was borderline OP, but they are already reducing fungal's damage and the range change is going to affect ZvT where I don't think anyone is saying T needs a buff.

Colossus with range upgrade is 9. Good luck getting of an NP on those.
Mass thor is damn near unbeatable zvt as it is, so good thing T got an even bigger buff.

I think this is a good change. Should help with the infestor/ling countering... everything a protoss makes issue; but still allow for reasonable thor NP and will still be very good vs archons.
Infestors will still be the go-to unit for ZvP.

what blizz is trying to do is, you gotta play smarter with your infestors if you want to neural parasite. just like how protoss are now using warp prisms to keep HT safe from emps, zergs will prob have to do something similar.
