imo my problem wasn't with NP but it was with how relatively cheap and powerful mass infested terrans were.

Why don't they just remove it ? i mean now theres nothing to NP... tanks own it hard.. Collosi will be un-targetable... what am i going to NP a immortal now? great the range 6 stalkers are going to kill the infestor woot. Honestly they should just remove the NP from the game at this rate... it is almost impossible to use at range 7... Ghost emp range 9, HT feedback range 7 so yea.. any one else notice this? or am i the only person on these forums to realize that this change will make infestors only for fungle/infested terran?

8 range would have been better, 7 range will make them useless against Broodlords.
Atleast we can still hold Mass Thor now

This is not a change vs terran... this only really affects Protoss V Zerg matchups.

Zergs do not realize how insanely strong fungal is. Infestor would still be insanely strong if they took away neural/infested terrans because of how easy it is for zerg to mass them. The problem is the skill difference between top zergs and the average zerg is insane so most qq with terrible macro and multitasking and see taking a protoss colossus while doing 20 storms on a protoss army as balanced.

Im a terran player and i think they should change the range form 9 to 8. IT would be alot more reasonable so tanks have some leeway to get shots in and it isnt as bad vs collosi. What do you guys think?

It feels like what Blizzard wants is you to be able to have a safe NP on immortals and unsieged tanks, yet get molested by sieged tanks, thors, and colossus. Perhaps Blizzard wants zergs teching to t3 faster to be able to counter these massive units? Perhaps Blizzard is fed-up seeing all of these Zerg players just massing infestors ftw?

Zergs will have to be oh-so careful with the infestor after this change. Basically if you lose your infestors you lose the game...

Zerg players will forever T_T.

Blizzard will forever make the life of a Zerg player so hard to live...

yeah i guess its a good change

i (zerg) destroyed whole armys with neural vs terran cause the cant do anything if you have their fires line of tanks/thors neuraled
will be very hard now vs protoss i think though but it definetly fixed the tvz MU a little bit

Terrans are actually doing amazing right now so they have no reason to complain. If you really think the NP being removed to not use vs massive units was fair will lol.

I personally am thinking NP won't be used much anymore after this patch as you'll never neural a colossi (tosses normally have 2 minimum and infestors are quiet week so focusing the infestor before it gets close to NP will work wonders).

Guess I need to figure out zvp again on what is best yay..

Neural used to have a short range (6 or 7 if I remember correctly) in the beta. It was buffed to 9 because they couldn't do anything with it, it was completely useless. Colossi with range can kill an infestor before it can reach it, and even if they can't, forcefields + colossus is far too strong. Infestors are going to be dead after this patch. Blizzard should just leave neural alone.

Absolutely a way more reasonable change. I can't say that I am pleased by this, as now there is virtually no feasible way to NP a Colossus or Thor without getting either extremely lucky, or being in a very low league. I think ZvP will go back to Roach/Hydra/Corruptor now, which is just pathetic after the metagame developed so nicely, and ZvT will remain unchanged.

If a thor is about to unleash a 250mm cannon on an infestor to stun and kill it, will the infestor still be able to neural parasite it in time?

250mm and NP have the same range (7)

Such a nonsense. What for you can use NP now? Tanks, collosus impossible; thors and immortals will be impossible as well cause infestors and so huge and you can't get close enough and FF > NP.. It just funny really, they better remove NP altogether, cause it's useless.
