February 3: WardiTV Mondays #72
![[image loading]](/staff/Waxangel/misc/weeklies/wardimon072.png)
WardiTV "Mondays" was pushed back a day due to Wardi's travel from HomeStory Cup, giving us yet another reminder of why you should never name your competition after a day of the week (weekly cup organizers will never learn this lesson).
In any case, the time-confused cup ended up going to MaxPax, who took down both of Korea's top Protosses along the way. MaxPax's 3-1 grand finals win against herO showed that while the current PvP meta is hopelessly cheesy, the elusive Dane is probably the #1 macro PvP player in the world if the game actually goes long (VOD).

February 3: PiGosaur Cup #67

While Solar was felled by Classic in the WardiTV Cup, he bounced back a few hours later to take a big ZvP victory against herO to win PiGosaur Cup #67. As expected for a Solar ZvP, the story of the five-game finals was Solar trying to kill his opponent before the late-game. He narrowly beat the clock this time around, taking a 3-2 victory in the end (VOD).
One interesting side note is that herO continued to bring out the fast-Tempest strategies he's been experimenting with in recent weeks, going 1-1 with them against Solar.

January 11 - February 5: WardiTV Winter Cup

(Check Liquipedia for group stage results)
WardiTV's lengthy winter cup ended in February, with Classic emerging as the ultimate victor. Classic's 3-1 victory over MaxPax in the finals was a typical contemporary PvP, defined by cheeses and proxies. While this typically disappoints viewers as games tend to end rather quickly, at least this series gave us a rare game (game three on Tourmaline) where cheesiness leads to delightful chaos and a thrilling ending (VOD).

February 7: StarCraft Evolution League #18
![[image loading]](/staff/Waxangel/misc/weeklies/scevo18.png)
SC: Evo Complete mod competition (SC2 vs BW) continued with SEL Cup #18. A quarterfinal upset saw Reaver-savant and #1 SC: Evo player Classic lose 1-2 to Rebellion, but it was still another top SC2 player in Solar who took first place in the end. ByuN looked heavily outmatched in the 3-0 finals, with Solar dominating his opponent with both SC2 and BW versions of Zerg (VOD).

uThermal 2v2 Circuit - February 2026
![[image loading]](/staff/Waxangel/misc/weeklies/thermy2v2_2026feb.png)
Players continued to experiment with new team combinations in uThermal's second 2v2 monthly of 2026, with the newly formed duo of MaxPax and Lambo eventually coming out on top over the established team of Trigger and Clem (VOD).
