I do think DRG might take it all.

Apparently some people are dumb enough to STILL be asking for it, so let's make things clear: Do NOT ask for re-streams, and do NOT post re-streams. Do not come here and muddle the thread by bitching about PPV.

There is no defenders advantage in PvP and you have limited information/scouting to make your choice and you have to make a choice on BO, like within 2-3 min. Scout the right place you win or Guess right you win. Scout wrong place or guess wring you lose. SC2 is a game of imperfect info the first few minutes and Protoss has no effective defenders advantage to make error like spines or bunkers. Give protoss cannons after GW and every PVP would be macro. sentries and a ramp are a defenders advantage. To say that there is no defenders advantage is an ignorant hyperbole. There IS a defenders advantage, it's just not as significant as other matchups and is dependent on gas and the maps architecture. Its a bit more volatile, but in that way, a bit more interesting.

I'm happy to see Ret winning from MVP, how did he hold up against DRG? I know he lost, but were the games close?

Depends how high, I think, and how good his play is to get there. As of now I don't think he's ready for Code S. He needs to get his shit together and refine all his builds a ton.

First game DRG 10-pool spinecrawler + drone rushed and killed Ret's hatch-first. Second game DRG opened 10-pool speed against 14gas/14pool. Ret held off the ling attack fine at first, but then he expanded and moved his lings into the middle of the map. With the earlier speed, DRG was able to kill all of Ret's lings and then finish him off.

Considering the easy road he's had so far and the fact that there's more deserving players out there i'd say his chances are slim. It's up to GOM though, and they've shown that they want to seed popular players before...

did you take geography class? pan America does not include France. Stephano is from Europe, which is not part of pan America, in case you forget where they are.

Besides HuK and IdrA (if he ever gets into form again, he currently is absolutely afwul, but that's another matter) who do they have that is of the highest level? I don't see them. Europe just has a scene that isn't as top heavy and as a lot of players that can compete at that high level. Names that immediatly come to mind are ThorZaIN, NaNiwa, Kas, DIMAGA and Stephano but there are many more. At the current state, Idra is code B, so is Huk. Idra, as of Feb., has not have top 3 finishes in 2012. Hence, you cannot give much credits to Idra until he proves himself once again, at the current patch version of sc2. Hence overall, North America, or perhaps pan America, only has code B talent.

This is some interesting logic....talent can be interpreted in many ways, I could easily say they have code S talent, but caring about where it is every waking second is irrelevant because then it would alaways be changing and no one could have a solid place in the pecking order. Huk is a code B talent but is doing amazingly well right now....I'll take code B if that's what it means.
