Apparently some people are dumb enough to STILL be asking for it, so let's make things clear:
Do NOT ask for re-streams, and do NOT post re-streams.
Do not come here and muddle the thread by bitching about PPV. |

actually it's pretty accepted that TvT is the least coin flip matchup and the better player wins more often than any other matchup.

There is no defenders advantage in PvP and you have limited information/scouting to make your choice and you have to make a choice on BO, like within 2-3 min. Scout the right place you win or Guess right you win. Scout wrong place or guess wring you lose. SC2 is a game of imperfect info the first few minutes and Protoss has no effective defenders advantage to make error like spines or bunkers.
Give protoss cannons after GW and every PVP would be macro.

i bet he could. damn pvp I bet he wouldn't win a single game. Yah... some Protoss have good win rates in PvP. It may be a bit coinflippy but it is much less so than before and the better player wins more often then not. While true. No protoss has win percentages even close to 90% like best in mirrors of other race. The best hover around 70%. Thus coin flip term is more applicable. We've all seen it over and over week in and week out. For example MC beating parting. One week later Parting beating him.
Out of cusioristy, who has a 90% win rate?

PvP to a certain degree can be pretty luck based but it really isn't as bad as many people make it out to be and in my opinion superior skill can overcome it, most people that whine about coin flips do really gimmicky builds to begin with that only work against a risk taker. From personal experience I can safely assume pros are referencing the mind game and risk taking aspect in PvP when they reference coin-flip and luck within the match-up. An example of this being say someone opens up with a blind colossi all in after only scouting a standard 2 gas opening which is pretty much the closest thing to a hard counter to a quick Immortal expand build, although it can overcome a colossi attack it is pretty difficult and where the frustration occurs is that the colossi all in pretty much loses to any sort of phoenix, blink obs, speed prism, and etc style of builds. Another important thing to note specifically in mirror builds and in a lesser degree polar opposite builds arise the problem that some players may just take a flat out risk against 4 Gate and rush to a tech quicker thus gaining a huge advantage, (and no just because you scout 2 gas doesn't mean he cant and isn't going to 4 Gate you). At this moment I think if your looking for a solid and safe way to play PvP blink observer is still very potent (although you have to really outplay fast expand builds to punish them) but even more so phoenix builds are pretty damn strong as you get both early scouting and harassment options and can pretty easily take an expansion if need be.

1) Huk apparently has dual citizenship in the US and Canada and lived in both growing up (according to his bio on TLPro which is now gone, so if that's wrong feel free to link to a current, correct source). 2) Stephano is from France, which isn't part of the Americas.

I don't know why people are bashing HuK so much. Yeah, sure, he got kinda lucky so far but it stops there. If he wants to win this (which is the only thing the remaining players play for anyway, so the only thing important, not some "top 4 finish" or something), he has to go through MKP, and two of DRG/PartinG, Oz/Violet. Sounds good enough to me. It will be well deserved if he wins against MKP and DRG tbh.

Stephano being from USA is just a very annoying meme. It's not people being ignorant, it's them thinking they're amusing.
Regardless of HuK's nationality (indeed Dual citizenship) it has to be said that the North American scene is just lagging behind. Besides HuK and IdrA (if he ever gets into form again, he currently is absolutely afwul, but that's another matter) who do they have that is of the highest level? I don't see them.
Europe just has a scene that isn't as top heavy and as a lot of players that can compete at that high level. Names that immediatly come to mind are ThorZaIN, NaNiwa, Kas, DIMAGA and Stephano but there are many more.

People need to stop using that "joke"... if it can be called that. Talk about beating a dead horse..
Also, nice to see that HuK's hard work in Korea is paying off in some degree of consistency against the best.

"The best"? You mean Minigun, Socke, Ret and one PvP series vs Oz?
HuK got the jammiest route to the Winner's Bracket finals imaginable.
