I thought I remembered them doing something weird/different last time... but liquipedia says it is the above.
EDIT: Nevermind. Just checked some previous MLGs. Seems to be that way.
Yeah, checked as well, so they do hold to it. So, go Jinro!

There's 4 open brackets, but it appears that the 4 winners get randomly seeded into each group. For example, Tyler was the "Top" Seed from the Open Bracket at Anaheim. Ganzi was in the second open bracket, but was seeded into Group D. So unless Tyler beat Ganzi, Cruncher, and Rain to get his Top Seed, the placing is random.

Meh, for Ret Idra they have weaknesses other players know about and can exploit.
Stephano and HuK are really solid overall imho, altho HuK's been having mixed results lately.
And with a sad heart I think the likes of Bomber, MKP and PuMa will be too much for them.

Meh... first few MLGs they invited the creme of the crop: MC (in his prime), LosirA, MMA, MVP etc.
Now they've brought a few Koreans lower on the totem pole (Boxer, July, HongUn).
While it is nice to see foreigners doing way better.. it certainly isn't all that surprising. I mean if the 4 invites were LosirA, MMA, MVP and Bomber... you better believe all of them would 5-0 their groups.
Not to take anything away from the foreigners... they are playing amazing. IdrA and Ret especially are playing better than I've ever seen them play lately.

Only time will tell....I CANT wait for tomorrow! I don't think it's much of a surprise, huk has always been good, idra definitely up there when he plays well and I think most people would expect ret to beat hongun and rain. Bomber on the other hand is looking really good, we'll have to see who gets seeded into pool play tmr. But this is definitely a good MLG for foreigners to take top spots in pool play.
At the moment, there's a good chance for 3 non-Koreans to win their pools. I don't really see a way we don't get at least 1 non-Korean in the Champ Quarters. But it's very possible.
Actually, the most likely is Ret. That's because there's only 1 possibility for MKP to be pushed to Pool C. MKP is the only Korean in the Open that can 5-0 a group.

I disagree. I think Huk has the best chance. You shouldn't look at whether or not the current 1st place seed can beat the Open Bracket players, but whether the other pool players can win.
That probably means Huk has the best chance, anyone from Pool D could beat the people from the Open Bracket.

I Missed the gaMes and haven't seen hiM in the discussion here, but did BoMber outPlay Puma so strongly that he's no longer being considered? PerhaPs he won't win the grouP, but certainly Must stand a chance in the bottoM bracKet?
Also, gotta love how so much Personality bleeds into BoMber's Play. May not be the Most sKilled, but certainly the Most liKeable grouP of Koreans we've had.
Excited!!!

Huk has the hardest match tomorrow, as beating Hero is going to be hard. So, for the exact moment, I'd put Ret as the most likely to take his Pool. After the round of matches tomorrow (before the Open players start), it'll likely switch to Huk being in the best position.
Still, good chance of 3 Foreigners sitting at 4-0 in their Pools. That'd be awesome to see.

It really just shows the difference between the scenes. Korea really dominates the top 10 players in the world, but after that, a "random top 50 Korean" isn't any different than a "random top 50 foreigner". So, as the "good but not marque" players come over, it's notable how much more even things are.
Bomber is the marque Korean at the tournament. He's a top 10 in the world and that's the issue. Except for him, there's around 10 players that could take this tournament. So the real question is simply: who can beat Bomber?
If MLG doesn't get those top 10 Koreans all showing up, then the "Korean always wins" story line goes out the window. But the last 3 we've gotten at least 2 "top 10" Koreans. This time, there's only 1 and a question if MKP is on the swing back into the top Tier again.

is the event being restreamed today?

It's turning into more of a Top 2 competition in Korea. If MVP doesn't knock out Nestea, he takes it. The only person that's been close to knocking out MVP (should have if he didn't blunder the 4th game) is Nestea. Now it looks like MVP will take this season with ease, no one other than Nestea has even been competitive with him, including Bomber.

Agreed. The funny thing is that because Nestea & MVP faced off early (again), I believe MC gets to go to Blizzcon, lol. (MVP would not go since he has the Finals to prepare for) Code S at GSL has been a 3-person question for a while. With Protoss getting rolled and MC not having a solid response to it, it's been down to Nestea vs MVP for a while. Though that's more to do with the fact that Code S has so many Terrans. If MVP had to deal with 4 Protosses every Code S, I think he wouldn't be as dominate.
Still, if we had MMA, Ryung or DRG here, it'd be a bit different. That 2nd "top 10 Korean" changes the dynamic so much at MLG, hehe.

He was referring to Orlando's current situation, where he deemed Bomber the only top 10 Korean participant. MVP/Nestea and their dominance in Korea has no relevance here...
What he's essentially saying is, nearly no one in Orlando has a shot at taking out Bomber.

http://www.teamliquid.net/video/streams/MLG_Orlando_Blue works for me, it just doesn't allow you to fast forward, so when your flash player crashes, you have to watch it all over again
Edit: nevermind you can scroll to whereever you want!

Thanks for pointing that out, i wouldve been sat bored for like an hour and a half of nothing like a retard.

You need to work on your reading comprehension skills. Did you not read the part about korea dominating the top 10 players in the world? Sounds like that provides some relevance or would you like me to explain it for you pseudo forum admin?
