1 season every month for sc2

What happened to this:
Well I guess another big question everyone has is "How the hell do we watch the games?!" We will upload them on http://www.gomtv.net. It is NOT in Korean and you do NOT need to pay.

I guess I could buy one day ticket if TLO's match comes on weekend or so. Other than that, it's a no-go. $50 ticket I would expect at least a year full of content available.

the real problem is:
GSL for ppl outside of korea will obviously fail hard; can't imagine there are "that" many ppl interested outside of teamliquid.....therefore you could say that the opinion around here reflects how this will go
now if GSL fails hard for foreigners, gretech will come to the conclusion that there is no demand for GSL outside of korea (LOL!) and close the service down

10-20 dollars per season for VODs AND stream is a fair price. I'm willing to bet, the vast majority of teamliquid.net users would be willing to part with that amount, and be satisfied.
I'm really hating the idea of splitting VOD and stream tickets. I mean, you guys do know about timezones, yes? The only way foreigners are able to keep up on Korean games is by a combination of the two.
I'll probably buy the stream for the first season, just to see what it is all about. Unless the quality and product is AMAZING, I will not purchase it any following seasons. I don't expect to be blown away, but as a real fan of the game and esports, I'm willing to try.

We know about time zones... Koreans apparently dont.

50$ is just ridiculous considering it's our only option (no OGN in foreign scene)

Uh huh. The terms "flat out liar" and "eat my shoe" come to mind.

Ouch. I'd hate to be that guy right now, though it probably isn't his fault specifically.

I think some of us have a bit more disposable income than others. As a poor college student, my entertainment choices are severely limited by how much I can pay. I can't afford more than a few dollars at most to spend watching Starcraft.

call me a hater but if kespa tried to get a couple bucks for their vods like gom is doing they would have so much money they could buy the rights for sc1 from blizzard (gretech). I think all the rage here is coming from blizz clashing with sc1 rights not paying a little money to watch sc2.

The vast majority of people who watch SC1 VODs would not shell out money to do so.
At least for me, part of it is the effort. Yes, I can comfortably shell out money to watch SC2 if I want to since I'm not living in a gutter. I could spend the 2 dollars for one day and check how it works. But it's actually a bunch of effort figuring out the best way of doing so (how much do I trust them with my credit card information?), plus the whole concept that they're just nickle and diming me to piss me off.

Not really surprising that western cultures and eastern cultures don't understand each other.
I'd consider buying a joint vod/live plan (gonna be hard to roll my ass outta bed at 6am for mostly amateurs), but the pricing the want is way over what I'd consider spending -- $20 for a joint plan would be my limit.
