Well, it was also built around a completely different system, no spellvamp or lifesteal, and the idea that you'd almost always have a healer of some sort in a high-level PvP situation. If suddenly every support in LoL had Soraka-levels of healing baseline and all took Heal as a summoner (and maybe someone else on the team too), we'd see a wildly different game. | ||

Holy Pala was boring as shit for a huge amount of time, and resto shamans had their chain heal spam in end of TBC. Disc/Holy Priests were pretty fun and resto druids were damn boring, spamming hots doesn't feel very impactful. Things improved with WotLK though. | ||

I don't remember if that was around when I played holy pally. I think it was a glyph for FoL? that did that. But why bother when you could just sit there, beacon tank and spam holy light on whoever in the raid needed healing. | ||

I think I ran that on my Ret for the insta-heal procs. Yeah, holy in raids/dungeons was boring, just sit around and hit one of 3 buttons until no one was missing health. That fight in ICC with the healers doing HPS to heal a green dragon back up to full was tons of fun as a healer, great encounter where discs weren't the most fun healers. And healers finally getting to measure their e-peens properly, haha. So gratifying to have your biggest heal crit for like 200k in that fight :3 | ||

I was a tank and offspec dps for so long it was really, really fun. Funny how its the same with my LoL where I mostly play tanks/bruisers but enjoy and do well with support sometimes. (still my best winrate in season 3 lololol 80% sona wat nerf guys) | ||
