December 8: WardiTV Mondays #64

After one winless week, MaxPax returned to his victorious ways by taking the WardiTV Cup against arch-rival Clem. The mysterious Dane's impressive run saw him go through Ryung, SHIN, and Solar before narrowly taking down Clem 3-2 in the finals.
The first four games of the finals centered around MaxPax's famous 4-Gate Blink openers, where he won two games where he deployed his signature strategy while losing the two other games where he went with a less aggressive approach. However, the deciding game five showed MaxPax is still plenty dangerous when playing a more passive macro-style, as he held off Clem's pressure and gutted his opponent with Zealot run-bys (VOD).

December 8: Monday Night Weeklies #33

Clem promptly got his revenge in Monday Night Weeklies, winning the cup with a victory over MaxPax in the finals. MaxPax got the upper hand with a 2-1 victory over Clem in their initial upper bracket clash, but Clem rallied from the lower bracket to win convincingly in a 3-1, 2-0 grand finals. As we've seen demonstrated often in the last few weeks, Clem's late-game TvP is looking utterly unstoppable, putting Protoss players on a timer to defeat him before games go too long (VOD).

December 9: PiGosaur Cup #61

Clem, herO, and MaxPax all passed on the PiGosaur Cup, opening up the championship picture to less frequently seen names. The red hot Solar seemed like a strong candidate to win under such circumstances, but it was actually Cure who came out with the weekly victory. Cure went up 2-1 with standard-ish play in the first three games of the finals against Solar, and then sealed the deal with a cheeky 3-Barracks proxy variant that threw Marauders into the mix (VOD).

Serral is rarely seen in competitions that don't offer $10,000+ total prize money (though he does make occasional appearances in BASLISK showmatches), but he did pop in to cast the all-Finnish StarCraft2.fi anniversary event. The competition saw throwback names such as Naama and Fuzer throw their hats in the ring, but ultimately it was Mixu—the top performing non-Serral player in recent memory—come out with the championship VOD (final day)).
