As a side note, do you guys remember that Deng was taken 3 picks ahead of Iggy and 10 picks ahead of Josh Smith? And 3 picks after the Clippers took Shaun Livingston Q_________________Q

Deng doesn't have the best of handles to be able to create his own shot in the NBA.

I know that college ball has weaker competition than the NBA. It was just an observation of a skill he had/has. what's your point point about where he was drafted? Between Iggy and Smith it'd be iffy. But still kind of leaning towards Iggy over Smith. My point was sort of a trivial one. It's just remarkable how similar those three players are. Deng, Iggy and Josh Smith are basically: tall, lengthy, athletic. Obviously, they aren't 100% fungible, Iggy is like 3 inches shorter than the other two and yeah, I'd rather have it reversed but that's just preference - they're all very effective contributers to their teams.

On the other hand, the Heat's path through the Eastern Conference that season was quite impressive. Tonight reminds me of how he played vs the Pistons in 06.

It's the only American sporting event in my lifetime I actually question the legitimacy of (given David Stern and Mark Cuban's well known animosity towards each other). I think Game 6 of the 2002 WCF was worse than any single game in the 2006 finals.
