Seems theyre still up there. did everyone really think it would be a blowout with celtics having to start Erden? It looked like celtics were going to get killed the way knicks played. They pulled that win out of their ass amazing finish by pierce, and he did it over amare too

If thats the case, Fisher will soon retire, and Bryant will most likely retire after his current contract. Ron is only 2 years younger than Paul Pierce, but said that he wants to pursue other options, such as the NFL, he is the most likely to retire, aside from Fisher, of all the starters for the Lakers. Pau is 30, so he does have some years left But i mean, lets be realistic, no one is going to retire, barring injuries. Ray Allen is not going to stop, he is the best in the NBA for taking care of his body, and a shooter, he can last until 40, he just got 10 million a year, its not like he settled for the veterans minimum. Paul Pierce isnt going to retire, why would you say this? You are aware he is only a year younger than Kobe, right? Where did you read KG would retire, i doubt he will give up 20 million dollars because of "mileage" Shaq publicly stated that if a CBA happens he would gladly play in Europe, if not he would finish out his 2 year contract with Boston, so i wouldnt be to enthusiastic about him leaving either. You're putting a lot of speculation into saying the Celtics will retire when nothing has pointed that way, including the 45 million that are going towards the big three next year, barring none retire. Once again, they are just as old as the Lakers, so stop saying that the Celtics are finished after this year, ive heard it since 2008 and its been proven anything but true. My bad, Perkins been gone for so long I completely forgot about him :/ I factored in Fisher's age. That's still only 1 of their starters out of 5 at the end of their rope. Ron is only 2 years younger than Pierce but he hasn't had to play as much as PP. That's the mileage. As for Ray Allen I fully believe he can also. That still doesn't change the fact that he isn't the old monster Ray Allen. He won't be getting significantly better. Pierce is retiring at the end of this contract from what I read. But ok let's say he does stay - the level Pierce is playing at now he isn't getting better either. KG is retiring. I read that EVERYWHERE. I've heard it from people with pretty good contacts inside the NBA. I thought it was general knowledge. Note I am not talking about retiring before his contract ends. This is a once his contract ends he is gone retiring in 2 years. NOT next year. The Celtics have more mileage on 3 of their players than all of the Lakers starters except Kobe and Fisher. That is the major point you just keep missing. Secondly with Gasol only being 30 and still in his prime that's a pretty big deal. None of the big 3 are in their primes and all of them have a ton of playoff games on those bodies. Pau, Artest, and even the overrated Bynum do not. That is a monster difference on whether a team can get better or worse in the next few years.

Did you forgot that the most important to have young legs is something that Boston has, and the Lakers do not? Rajon Rondo makes the job easier for the "mileage" factor to be non-existent, like i said if you're going to call the Celtics too old, you have to call the Lakers to old, and the meaningless semantics have nothing to argue against, its purely speculative opinion on your part that Boston will begin to digress, although that gets said every year, and this year they are playing the best ball, with the best rotation they have had since they won the championship. They arent throwing the cards in yet, they still have the best match ups in all of the NBA, 1-5, and will continue to next year as well.

Paul Pierce doesn't finish or elevate the way he used to. Used to be, give the ball to pierce, automatic foul or and one. Ray Allen would seem the least affected, but he has more cold streaks than he used to. In spite of Perkins, right now the Celtics are pretty lucky healthwise. The finals are 6 months away, that's half a year of wear and tear and injuries and aging.

http://blogs.forbes.com/mikeozanian/2010/12/15/why-michael-ilitch-did-not-buy-the-detroit-pistons/ My Pistons are doomed, NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO. ![]() Why would you lie to Ilitch, he'd probably wouldve bought the team without the inflated statistics if you'd shown him past years ACTUAL revenues, god how can a team with some of the highest attendance rates fuck up so hard. Just be honest, and say "look we are in the bottom third of the league in attendance right now, but we have the fan base potential to become the highest selling team in the league."
