It was like in Little Giants.
LOL I watched that movie so many times when I was a kid because my elementary school basically used that as the default movie to entertain the kids when the weather sucks outside and we're stuck inside the auditorium.
I still quote it from time to time

Thats of course if he stays healthy and keep playing at a similiar level, by that i dont mean putting up 30+ pts 10+ reb every game, but keep being a 20-10 stud and a human highlight (!).
I looked through the west, and i think griffin has a shot at it really. Players i think will be allstar for sure on PF spot: Pau Gasol Dirk Nowitzki Tim Duncan (not as good as before, but he always gets votes)
Then i look at the rest. Who averages 20-10 and put up that many highlights? Its Blake Griffin. Also we can put Pau on Centers, because thats what he has been playing most of the year. That means that only 2 spots on PF that are sure. Griffin can battle for the third spot, btw who else can go up against him in terms of stats? What you guys think? It's a little more complicated than that. Generally the positions on the ballot are just divided into center, guards and forward. The coach does get to pick the reserves and probably balance out the PF/SFs. I seriously doubt that Griffin will make it in. You have Durant, carmelo and some other forwards out in the west as well and I consider Gasol, Nowitzki and Duncan shoo-ins for all-stars. All-star game is nothing but a popularity contest and doesn't mean shit though. Look at Deron Williams, the only time he's been a allstar was last year and he's arguably the best point guard in the league. (Also the west has a lot of really good guards. Paul, Deron Williams, Kobe, Westbrook, parker, nash, manu, curry, ellis, etc)
I see your point! But its only Pau, Dirk and Timmy who is sure to get allstar-votes of the big mens. Besides them i dont see anyone else that is an allstar, thats why i mentioned Blake Griffin and his chances to make the allstar team. Amare has gone east, same has Boozer. David Lee, Kaman, Al Jefferson has not been near Blake in terms of stats and the exitement of watching them play. Even though the west have many good guards, the allstar team wont consist only of guards. I think at least it will be 4 big mans. Those three i had allredy mentioned, and a fourth that can be Blake. Not sure, but it is a possible!
So for starters i think: CP3/Nash/D-will Kobe Melo/KD Timmy/Dirk Pau
Then its for the coaches to fill up the reserves, and its here i think Blake Griffin has chance.

cant say the same about Lebron though
He didn't have much reason to stay. He wasn't going to win a championship in Cleveland. But he shouldn't have left the way that he did.

You guys forget that Chris Kaman made it last year, probably as the 11th and 12th man, due to injuries. Those last two spots are discretionary and not based on position.
And for the people who were supposedly tired about all the talk about the heat, once they accumulated a few losses everyone went crazy with overanalyzing it. It's like the bandwagon version of media overexposure - the heat this, the heat that, do they ever sto-WOOOAAAH THEY'RE LOSING THIS IS AWESOME. You either care or you don't, and given how little people care about talking about San Antonio or the Joe Johnson injury, or the pacers, it's pretty clear people don't want to talk about anything else.

It's too bad that crazy Rondo hater/Rose fan got banned... I'd like to hear his spin on tonight's game.

Chris Kaman was solid last year for the first half, I don't know why he shouldn't have been on the team.
San Antonio is ok, they've done this before (as in play at this level), but can they keep this up due to their age? Most likely no.
Joe Johnson is Joe Johnson, he got overpaid in the summer and the Hawks still aren't going anywhere they haven't been before.
The bottom 5 of the East isn't anything WOW so I don't see what is there to talk about for the Pacers. It's too early to make any judgement calls on them.
The Heat discussion is simply because this amount of talent has never been on a NBA team. I should qualify that statement (even though I know some people won't read it) with that there are great teams that you go "that was a great team" after the fact, after they win a championship. The Heat in this case are different, from the get-go, it was blatantly obvious that they are incredibly talented, some people (want to) extend that same notion to greatness. Is it illogical? Sure. Is it a stretch? Not really. I would say watching the Heat is enjoyable as a basketball fan simply based on the added intricacies, can Lebron and Wade work, will Bosh step it up, can they overcome their team chemistry, etc. Each game gives insight to each of those questions and that my friend is what makes them enjoyable to watch. At least for me it does.

can someone please tell me why t-mac plays like eddy curry now?

He doesn't... I can't find any highlights, but if you have seen him in certain games he looks like 2006 TMac. Getting double teams, shooting decent, making very smart decisions, driving past people, getting athletic blocks, finishing alley oops and dunking in traffic.
Of course, after a good game he then looks completely different the next game. He just cannot sustain it for very long and often gets his knee worked on after 10 minutes of play. The trainer on the Pistons said he would be in full form around midseason. Hopefully that is true, and so far things have been going exactly as scheduled for TMac.
BTW Amare is playing like an MVP.

I can't wait for Nash to get traded to New York and re-create the Seven Seconds or Less era with D'Antoni, Amare and Gallinari. They might not be title contenders, but they should be good for 120 ppg.

I think he's still around. I checked his profile and none of his posts had warnings (which is a shame)
In other news the spurs are amazing again. and kevin love is averaging 20ppg, 15rpg

spurs are off to a really crazy start. don't remember them starting off so well even in their championship years. they'll probably turn to shit when ginobili goes down and it's bound to happen at some point.

The Knicks have won six straight now and eleven of their last twelve. All of the wins however, have come vs weak teams so I know better than to actually feel hopeful. The only thing I'm really excited about is Landry Fields, what a steal in the second round.
