I'm pretty sure the RS game follows the same rules as the all star game; if you're selected to go, you can't refuse unless your injured. The only elements that you can decide not to participate in are the skills/3 pt/ dunk competition. If someone is selected for both RS and the all star game, they'll play both.

Lets be honest, Stuckey deserves to go just as much as Harris does. :D edit: December 15th is the new July 1st?! Detroit doesn't deserve any all-stars at this point. Harris is no sure thing. I'm pretty sure there was a recent rookie who played in the all star game, probably lebron or yao (though yao's usually injured by all star time).

I remember Shaq and/or Rasheed Wallce made the All-Star team and didn't want to attend but was pretty much forced to go. (I think Shaq ended up sitting because of an 'injury', can't remember if the injury was real or fake though). The all-star game is pretty much done for the fans and if they let shaq get away with not attending, a lot of all-stars would rather not go in the future. Watching the Cleveland-Heat game atm, man the crowd is going nuts. You'd think its an NBA final game ![]()

Well, I knew it would probably happen and I didn't think I'd be rooting for the Cavs, but when I heard the players in that starting lineup and all the fanfare they made for Mo Williams, I couldn't help but root for them. It was like in Little Giants.

Nobody is hating on him leaving, everyone is justified on hating him leaving when he said on live national tv while waiting to the very end of free agency.
