Bledsoe is very athletic but I don't think his decision making is good enough to be a starting pg yet. His minutes have been getting cut. Gordon and Griffin are legit though.

man this thunders v nets game is on triple overtime right now and both teams keep making super clutch shots.
GO THUNDERS! PS westbrook is a BEAST
|
lmao did you see when the Nets had the game won and fouled Jeff Green on a 3pt attempt?
Avery Johnson almost lost it.
|
yeah LOL this game is really funny and entertaining

How come the raptors dont have any chinese players? There are only two in the league, one is crazy overrated and the other has feet made out of glass
You forgot about Sun Yue (not sure if he's even in the league this year though) and our favorite american-chinese player Jeremy Lin.

Meh, I wouldn't read too much into it; they're just in a bit if a lean stretch.

Pau and Odom playing too many minutes + The Lakers had one of the easiest starting schedules in the league. It's catching up to them.

Might be what Phil said, that with Bynum gone it's really taking the toll on Gasol/Odom.

Best 5 minutes i spent reading today. Full of gems like this
The big strategic play? Lying. Sorry, I had to. This was important. I convinced her that the Lakers were bullies (she hates the concept of bullying; it drives her crazy in movies), that Kobe is a mean daddy to his young daughters and that Phil Jackson absolutely hates golden retrievers. Did I show her the Artest melee on YouTube, then point out Artest in a Lakers uniform and tell her that she couldn't root for the Lakers because Artest might run into the stands and punch me during a game? Yes. Yes I did. The only time I screwed up? When I tried to convince her that Pau Gasol was a vampire -- that made her like him more. (F***ing Edward. He swayed an entire generation of girls under 15.) Everything else worked. Everything. I killed off every possible Lakers chromosome.

Griffin possible allstar this year anyone? Thats of course if he stays healthy and keep playing at a similiar level, by that i dont mean putting up 30+ pts 10+ reb every game, but keep being a 20-10 stud and a human highlight (!).
I looked through the west, and i think griffin has a shot at it really. Players i think will be allstar for sure on PF spot: Pau Gasol Dirk Nowitzki Tim Duncan (not as good as before, but he always gets votes)
Then i look at the rest. Who averages 20-10 and put up that many highlights? Its Blake Griffin. Also we can put Pau on Centers, because thats what he has been playing most of the year. That means that only 2 spots on PF that are sure. Griffin can battle for the third spot, btw who else can go up against him in terms of stats? What you guys think?

He isn't eligible because of the Rookie-Sophmore game.

Thats not the case. He can play for the all-star team and not play for the rookies. Remember D.Rose last year? He was on the sophomore team, but did not play because he was selected to the all-star team.

Pretty sure Duncan was an all star as a rookie too

So what are the rules? I could have sworn they were obligated to play in the RS game but maybe I am wrong.

It's a little more complicated than that. Generally the positions on the ballot are just divided into center, guards and forward. The coach does get to pick the reserves and probably balance out the PF/SFs.
I seriously doubt that Griffin will make it in. You have Durant, carmelo and some other forwards out in the west as well and I consider Gasol, Nowitzki and Duncan shoo-ins for all-stars. All-star game is nothing but a popularity contest and doesn't mean shit though. Look at Deron Williams, the only time he's been a allstar was last year and he's arguably the best point guard in the league.
(Also the west has a lot of really good guards. Paul, Deron Williams, Kobe, Westbrook, parker, nash, manu, curry, ellis, etc)

Yea D-will has gotten shafted, and part of that is because he plays in Utah.
The East has a lot of terrible, no superstar teams whereas in the West even the crap teams have at least a star in the making.
Hell, I wouldn't mind seeing Tyreke Evans, as bad a year as he's having in an All-Star game over Devin Harris.
|
Whats going to be shocking is that with all the talented guards being in the East being on Detroit, Stuckey, Hamilton, Gordon, and to a lesser extent McGrady, we still wont see a Detroit guard in the all star game.
Lets be honest, Stuckey deserves to go just as much as Harris does. :D
edit: December 15th is the new July 1st?!
