Kinda weird how Littlefinger out-stealthes Arya with her assassin training. Will have to read up somewhere what was on that scroll.

And they give a few of those older characters a purpose by sending them on a quest beyond the wall. Fun episode overall. Kinda weird how Littlefinger out-stealthes Arya with her assassin training. And hell, Littlefinger has been playing the stealthy sob for years, Aryas been doing it for a few months.

Also, I must be the only one thinking Sam's scenes this series has been his most interesting throughtout the show. I enjoyed seeing how the maesters functioned.

It looks to be the scroll that Cersei had Sansa write to Rob after Ned's beheading, where she asked for him to swear fealty to Joffrey...Or maybe that happened before the beheading..I forget. Plays into the opinion that Arya was already forming of Sansa just being desperate to be in power. thxxx

Especially the Gendry fanservice where Davos finds him magically. Not that the "avenger" party is much better though, now we at least know why Jorah had to survive greyscale. Fanservice. Well the scenes where we see what the maesters do, etc weren't the problem with Sam's storyline. No problem with that, but the huge coincidences where he finds all the right things at the right time. And yeah the time where he cures greyscale easily. But even without that i wouldn't say it's "the most interesting scenes throughout the show" tbh. It would have potential though.

Gilly mentioning Rhaegar marrying someone in secret in dorne... That means Jon is 100% legal targarian and not a bastard. God I wonder how daenerys will react to that. Can't wait for the next episode, sadly the 2nd to last episode T_T

Is it really that "magical" that he found Gendry? He knew that he sent him to Kings Landing, that he was a native of Flea Bottom, and that he was a smith. It seems like he looked in the first place that everyone would look if they were looking for Gendry...Maybe Flea Bottom is actually a massive place with lots of smiths and he got lucky though.

As for the episode: I'm not quite sure how they think a captured Wight will change Cersei's mind. After all, she shouldn't be skeptical of the undead-her Hand has experimented with black magic and resurrecting the dead, so I feel like she's probably more skeptical of the "massive army of zombies" part which a single Wight won't prove. I guess the Mountain isn't undead to her?

That whole northern expedition to get a wight is ok as a plot point, but cmon we don't need "the avengers" here. Seems silly to me.

I'm into some short sighted betrayal during the war against the endless winter.

A truce is the wrong plan. They needed to end the war a few months ago with dragons attacking King's Landing, then go north with the survivors which, had it been a few months ago, would include the Iron Fleet, Dornish, Tyrell army, Lannister army etc. Even if they won Cersei entirely to their cause and she was completely loyal that's still a worse position than a few months previously. And they haven't done that. Not only does Cersei bring nothing to any alliance against the dead, she's probably more destructive as an ally than as an enemy. But after you burn down Kings landing, how do you get the rest of the 7 kingdoms to fight the undead? I don't think the threat of burning alive is going to convince people to join up.
