There were no word processors or printing presses back in these eras, so the people writing the texts are not the same people that commanded the military. Much of what we believe about historical combat is inferred from artifacts.

Yes, and we have to take all of that with a grain of salt, just like all other primary source documents. Even when someone says they are an “eye witness” to an event, they may not be retelling the event with any accuracy. All history is constructed from imperfect information. That doesn’t mean we get everything wrong, just that we shouldn’t treat what we believe to have happened as objective fact.

There are also scripts that are just assumed to be wrong by historians because they can't see how it would be the case. There is this dude who pretty much debunked our modern view of medieval archers by proving how it is possible to shoot multiple arrows within 3 seconds or so. He's on youtube if you're interested, just look for "world's fastest archer" or something.

Loving the Bran, I'm not sure why some people are complaining about his emo behaviour. The guy can see everything that has happened and is happening, what's the supposed to say 'hey sis, you remember our old nanny?'. Bran no longer gives a fuck about anyone, all the people are insignificant in the wider picture that he is now able to see.

It looks to be the scroll that Cersei had Sansa write to Rob after Ned's beheading, where she asked for him to swear fealty to Joffrey...Or maybe that happened before the beheading..I forget. Plays into the opinion that Arya was already forming of Sansa just being desperate to be in power.

Some good scenes though as well (Dany burning the Tarlys, Tyrion and Varys talking about it, etc) Not entirely sure what the scroll said, it was from Sansa though and Littlefinger wanted Arya to see it. So i guess it was placed there to seed distrust, which apparently was already starting to grow (not sure how i feel about that, seems a bit forced) Sam's storyline was/is still bad, they really let him find all the information by accident, it's kinda stupid. Dany and Jon will 100% be a thing this season, Dany clearly wants Jon's king in the south
