Well as I said once in LR thread, this patch might favor more tempo based mid along with more farmy offlaners that can get back into the game. Alliance is the extreme case of this. With the harder offlane, tempo offlaners might not get enough out of the laning stage to set the pace of the game. Mid jungle stacks getting nerfed too.

Secret was pretty much drafting this way the entire SL tournament. Secret's awful play might be due to this transition phase. But honestly, I don't know if w33 is able to play these type of mids. We are truly back to SingSing days of C9.

Lane equilibrium was pulled back towards the safelane. It's harder for heroes that actually want to contest the lane. It's more favorable for heroes like LD/NP who can pull the enemy creep wave around (more benefit from this if you can't get xp and farm just standing on the lane) and easily farm the hard camp.

Bo1, I hope I'm pleasantly surprised when I wake up.

E: nvm, I thought it was bo1, it's bo3. Secret should take it, especially since Newbee doesn't seem to have that much variety, but it won't be easy.

Really want to stay up to watch Secret play tonight but 2AM start probably means 2:30AM, and a finish around 4-5AM. Which is not sensible when I have classes tomorrow.

Someone move China to a better time zone, please.

Secret can 100% beat Newbee if they play smart and stable. Secret are at their strongest when exploiting one of Newbee's greatest weaknesses: finishing the goddamn game. Puppey and EE both completely understand how to hold high ground and stall into the lategame, and can excel in that field. Newbee are extremely weak against that kind of style. So long as w33 and Misery are able to hold things together and don't go on mega tilt, I think Secret should be able to win.

Well, they weren't able to. I think Secret might just not be playing towards their strengths the way they should be, stuck in this awkward place where they aren't playing their own style and aren't playing the patch's style. It's regrettable.
