Secret are at their strongest when exploiting one of Newbee's greatest weaknesses: finishing the goddamn game. Puppey and EE both completely understand how to hold high ground and stall into the lategame, and can excel in that field. Newbee are extremely weak against that kind of style. So long as w33 and Misery are able to hold things together and don't go on mega tilt, I think Secret should be able to win. Well, they weren't able to. I think Secret might just not be playing towards their strengths the way they should be, stuck in this awkward place where they aren't playing their own style and aren't playing the patch's style. It's regrettable. Yeah but i think they have bigger problems like they seem to have lost that wonderful synergy that had before. They don't work as one unit anymore that they did during Franknut time and before. Well they are in a better state now than after franknut dear god they were a a living disaster still though they aren't any better. Idk if it's lose of trust with each other, or too much differing opinions on how to play ingame but they have to fix that shit or internal conflict. If they can't there's probably a good chance they are disbanding or doing a major roster change after Shangai if they can't fix their shit together. Secret pls stop turning into c9 and the awful version of c9 even. On January 30 2016 01:29 Spicy_Curry wrote: legion commander is not a hero. please stop picking it. cannot agree more lol

Second game the game was going pretty well but they slightly executed bad when catching NB taking rosh and then lost the eventual fight though it was extremely close to being just 3 NB guys straight dead had they hit their spells in sync to the pit. EE died a few times in a pretty silly fashion when he screwed up with remnants (and also there was a pretty fast orchid on Furion) but after a while Secret stabilized and just took it late and eventually won with a fat Ember, LD and w33 doing his thing on Earth Spirit. And 3rd game Secret did alright early, TB and LC were topping nw charts, LC got a few duels and w33 was doing fine on ES. But with NB grouping up a lot they didn't really find picks with LC, both LC and TB were also caught out by smokes I think once. At some point NB got the aegis and when they push towers it was pretty awkward for Secret to get a good initiation with their lineup. And then the game basically ended to a fight where w33 caught the Eartshaker in the woods when their smoke popped but later missed a roll and went straight in the middle of the enemy team a long way out, rest of Secret got 3 man chronoed and 4 died in total which lead to NB getting raxes. I think ideally with their lineup they wanted to get more ahead early with LC picks and be the ones pushing towers with TB and LC guaranteeing that TB always gets sunder off. But the way it went their lineup was rather hard to play I think.

There's a shuffle period sure but for there to be a big shuffle in the west it would require multiple teams from Secret, EG, OG, Alliance, TL to make changes. The public opinion seems to be that most of these teams are very likely to stay together and Secret's recent struggles have spurred a lot of roster change speculation for them. But that said if we consider what happened after TI and what happened in the end of 2014 for the top western teams, a lot of the changes were stuff that noone was really predicting. And as the roster shuffle period is the last one before TI, I can see teams making changes even if they were doing decently if they don't really see their development going to a very high TI placing. Hard to really speculate on any specific team changing and who they might get because who wants to change and what alternatives they have depends so much on how each team does.

Honestly the problem seems like they just haven't understood the patch and practiced. Their drafts are either alliance copies or they try to fit Ember in. The only thing that has seemed to work is Earth Spirit mid, but otherwise things just seem so discombobulated. What's the next tournament they're playing?

Leave NaVi out of this or Mensol will haunt you to death. Also, funny how he disappeared as soon as Secret began to fall, he does it every time. Big time fan there.

While the major is important, TI is still the end goal.
