After a previous tournament sucessfully run by Artanis, I really wanted another tournament to be hosted. Seems like he is busy so why not just couple of TL'ers play for fun and even arrange a casual tournament?

I'm thinking of a standard tournament with the block that's the most popular.
The time will be
July 27th Sunday
1:00 PM Pacific
4:00 PM Eastern
We can always change time to fit the most comfortable schedule for everyone to play
Tournament rules
1. Cheating in any way is not allowed.
2. Any cards that is not in the chosen standard is banned. If cards appeared in previous sets, they are allowed. Also, all 'power 9' cards are banned. These are: Black Lotus, Mox Ruby/Sapphire/Emerald/Jet/Pearl, Timetwister, Time Walk, and Ancestral Recall. For the rest, the T1 banned/restricted list as seen here is applied.
3. The server that will be used to play is 'mwsgames.net'.
4. All participants will be randomly attached to another opponent. If there is an uneven amount of players, byes will be given.
5. Signing up will be handled by PMing me. Posting in this thread will not qualify as signing up. You can not sign up until the official date is released.
6. The decklist of your deck, including sideboard, must be added in the PM in which you sign up. Editing your deck after this is not allowed.
Vote on the block you want to play standard. The block will also consist of the expansion sets from that block.

Time Spiral and Odyssey tied and with negative posts about Time spiral.
We'll play with cards from the Odyssey block which consists of:
Odyssey
Torment
Judgment
It'll be 60 card deck with 15 sideboards.

Well we had a discussion in the previous thread and we decided to just use 1 block + its 2 expansion sets.

Standard means 2 blocks + the core set Also known as Type 2. Block constructed = 1 block. But where's the lorwyn + shadowmoor block?

Sliver Decks...
If you have say 2 or 3 Gemhide Slivers out, when you tap another sliver for mana. Does it just give 1 of any colour, or 2/3, if you have more than 1 out.
This also applies to every other "Tap: Sliver ****" ability.

I don't know the test, but I assume it says "Slivers gain TAP: Add 1 mana" In which case your sliver has 3 instances of it. You get to choose which one to use! But you still get one mana only.

No, the equipment does not die.

Another question about slivers, does the flanking stack? If I have more than 1 sidewinder out.

No, flanking does not add up, it is only -1/-1, and then it is done.
^Don't listen to this guy (me), he answers questions based on no concrete evidence.
